You just reminded me I gots one of those! Mine are Fiskars. Spring loaded & lockable, but the spring isn't exposed like that.

You guys need to man up ... and head for the sewing and notions department in AC Moore or Michael's. If you really want to prove a point - JoAnn Fabrics even. :D

I was scrounging around the house looking for some better small scissors than the crappy ones I was using for cutting and trimming wicks. Started rummaging through my wife's sewing stuff and hit the jackpot. Found these, still new in the package:

I promptly appropriated them. They are razor sharp and super high quality. I can really "fine tune" my wicks with these things. They also work great for tucking wick tails. Some googling revealed they are "needle craft" scissors. Highly recommended... especially if you can find them "just laying around". Be advised, they will cut right through 26ga Kanthal coil legs.

Now I just have to explain that the package of Koh Gen Do cotton pads coming from the Dermstore isn't for her. :?:

Guess that's fair... I've basically robbed my husband blind of drillbits. :D SHHHHH!!!! ;)

Now that's crossing a line!

Well, if he needs those sizes, he knows where to find them... he just has to go hunting for them. :D He bought me my own vise, a 3"... his is much bigger and heavier and he was afraid I would drop it on my foot! :D And after I appropriated a pair of needle-nose pliers, he just shrugged and said he had 2 or 3 more other pairs.

Heh.. I too "appropriated" a pair of cosmetic scissors and tweezers from my s/o. The brand of tweezers is "TWEEZERMAN" (lol) and they are super fantastic. I wouldn't be able to live without them, and the few times I've needed to rewick without using them have been a real nightmare.
Just an FYI... Tweezerman stuff can be sent back for free, for life and re-sharpened etc. Very awesome company!

Kind of an older version of my portable set up... But several self appropriated items from my hubby's tool chest got quickly replaced via Harbor Freight once he figured out I was self-assigning tools from his tool box and office [emoji56]

Wow... My boyfriend would be in hiding if he used my sewing shears. Right after we met he grabbed my haircutting shears and I had to explain to him that using $500 shears to open a package of food was a very bad thing to do. My sewing shears aren't near that spendy but I think my reaction has him scarred (as intended).

Reading all them confessions - goodness me, I ended up in a cesspool full of thieving scoundrels..

No need to spend money on a visit to any seat of government then... ;)

Not at all... this is marriage... what's his is mine, and what's mine is mine... ;) Or something like that. :D

ROFL... my grandmother got hysterical if I grabbed her sewing scissors to cut paper. :D Paper blunts scissors...? I mean, who knew??? (not a 6 yr old, that's for sure!)
