Don't understand much of the lingo..

Hello all!
I've been perusing this site for a little while now and it was finally time to join up.
I am brand new to all this. I quit smoking tobacco cigarettes(analog, I assume) 7 days ago with the help of an e-cig, and am definitely happy with the results.
I look forward to seeing what all is out in this vaping world.

Welcome to ECF,
Sounds like you started out right. I spent Hours on here at the beginning before I joined and read...read....read...read. Guess it's good that I like to read. What resulted was a ton of information that enabled me to start out right - for me. I was not dissapointed either. Since I had smoked for 40 years, I knew I fit into the "heavy vapor" catagory. I was NOT interested in a "looks like a cigarette" device. I wanted something that would "kick .... and take names" and vape like crazy. I bought it and have not stopped. Quit analogs on day 2 and that was about 2 months ago. When that "urge" hits me and I want a cigarette - I just vape for several minutes. The urge is gone and I remain a "ex-smoker".
It's all good.

Then you will understand the lingo - BTW some lingo is underlined here and you can hover over it to translate, like PV and KR8

Two other easily confused ones are
cart = cartridge = the juice/stuffing part of a 3-piece ecig
carto = cartomizer = the combined juice/stuffing/atomizer of a 2-piece ecig

Hey DJ, I know what you mean about the lingo. I am sort of a newbie here too. As the others have said, just hang around reading the posts and you will catch on very quickly Grats on quitting the analogs!

Yeah, lingo. Not only do I browse through ECF, but I also play World of Warcraft...so between the two, my head almost explodes with the amount of strange phrases. "Vaping a 5v 510 mod on a juicebox tank with a LR atty and driptip while pwning Heroic CoC just after I reforged my gear for more crit and less haste."

Yeah...uh...wikipedia, what did this dude just say?

Welcome DJ-- the lingo will come. I found that watching a vid then reading, then watching the same vid again helped me a lot with the terminology.

It's kinda like going to first grade again isn't it? But if you spend some time here, reading, reading and did I mention reading...
you will learn so much that will help you be successful in your vaping experience.
Although some things/words may look kinda foreign to you at first, they will stick in your head and you'll probably use
or remember the advice later on.
Another great thing is to go to YouTube and put in cartomizer...atomizer...specific brands of ecigs and you will get some
great videos that will help you understand as well.
