Hey everyone I have a dos equis box mod with a hellboy and a dark horse, and I've been using it for awhile all the sudden my threads won't grip, is there any way to make it work again?

Those pictures don't say too much to me; looks fairly normal besides a little marked up. Maybe someone else will be able to see the issue though. It's not as if this is really my wheelhouse.

How old is the mod? How quickly did this happen? Was it working one minute and then suddenly not without any trigger, or did you do anything unusual that could have caused the threads to stop working as intended? Is the Dark Horse an authentic or a clone and do you have another device to try it on, or have you tried another atomizer or tank in the Dos Equis?

Worn out threads happen. Given those are in the top plate of the mod itself, if that's the problem you can't fix it without replacing the plate, if you can get the part, or recourse to a machine shop. Try getting a 510/510 adapter and fitting that in. If you can get that to grab, you can fit the DH or the Hellboy into the adapter. And in the future, use an adapter anyway, to avoid thread wear on the mod. Just put the adapter in it and leave it there. When the threads wear, get another adapter.

Alright thanks for the tip! I will look into an adapter.

I used a 510/510 adapter a little over a year ago on a MVP that had the same problem. I was able to get another 6 months out of it.
