Excellent design and execution of it. Bet it's real comfy in the hand.

How can I steal this when you're sleeping??? That is HOT looking!!!!!! I'm completely perplexed on how you got that curved in and out like that but can only imagine that being totally comfortable griping it.

thank you,
comfort was purely the goal. It just happened to work out aesthetically too.

AngiBe, you'd have to pry it out my hands with a crowbar :D

Can you please share the types of files you used and how model the button?

The files were half rounds and rounds. Pick the best size for the shapes you want. You'll use the flat side of the half round sometimes too. (really handy file)
The button was a pain in the .... to be honest. If the object you choose as your button is not the exact size as a drill bit, then you have to drill smaller and finish making it fit by hand. I wanted a relatively tight tolerance so I took a lot of time sanding the hole to size with a rolled up piece of sandpaper.
I highly recommend choosing a button with a diameter the same size of your drill bit, but if you have to finish the hole by hand, just don't get in a hurry and you can get good results.

edit- I cut the ss drip tip to the length I needed (including the insulator/button stop on the bottom)

Great advice, and thank you!
So you've made me more curious about the button, can show a pic with the door off please? So it just sits on the firing pin like the original design? How do you keep it from falling out from the top?

I hope you take my questions as a compliment. I'm not trying to badger or annoy, its just that what you did to that REO is nothing short of unbelievable! We are all lucky to have someone like you to guide us to greatness. [emoji2]

Lol I didn't realize that was a "super light". It looks so much nicer. We all thought you did the milled pattern by hand I think. I'm halfway through mine. Will post when done.

I just pictured you sitting there filing each individual hole. The curves are perfect though. Not taking anything away...
