double check on a dual coil resistance...

just wanna be sure if i'm checking the resistance correctly on a dual coil setup

middle post with + and either screw end with -
battery contact screw with - and deck with +?

I am using a digital multi, do i have to divide the reading in half for total resistance?

You are reading the total resistance by measuring either of those ways, to get the reading on an individual coil you would need to remove one coil and then measure.
Each coil will have a higher resistance than the total.

If you have two 2.0 coils,and you make it a dual coil build,the resistance will be 1.0 ohm's.
