Speaking of doublers, I'm wondering if they have coloring in them? Is it just Lorann's in a bigger bottle or what?

A doubler is exactly the same as any e-liquid. It's PG, VG if you want it, and flavorings. The only thing it doesn't have is nicotine. You get 4 ounces of it for what is it 15 bucks?

You can vape it straight or use it to cut down the nicotine of other e-liquids without dulling down the flavor of your nicotine liquids.

Neither here nor there
It will reduce the flavor by 8% in the scenario I detailed.
Not enough to worry about IMO.

If she was mixing 50/50, of course the favor would be noticably decreased.

That's the benefit of having a strong nic stock.

Or use a complementary flavor to mix your already-flavored juices, then you won't lose flavor at all.

Yes, I do use Lorann's at present, but I am currently working with someone who will be mixing flavorings according to my specifications so that I can weed Lorann's OUT of my business. This also includes flavorings that are more bereft of artificial color like GRAPE which OVER uses coloring. I find this annoying and affects vapor production.

This will take place during the course of the next few months as she is sending me samples and getting my blessings and feedback. Once she's done, she'll not only be able to offer those flavors to me, but to other US Liquid makers as well.

It's a lot of research and development and it takes time. Trust me, we're BOTH working toward producing some flavorings that are more true to expected flavor, little or no coloring, etc.

I have already approved and order about 1/4 of my flavoring stock from her now. We're working on about 15 more flavors at present. It's slow going, but it's coming along.

Using the really cool  recipe calculator to calculate % it says it would only take 4 drops of my 100mg unflavored nic e juice to make up a 3ml bottle of Doublers to 8mg nic content.

I can't imagine 4 drops will drastically alter the taste. ;)

We are gonna give it a try. :w00t:

Thanks for the input everyone

Can you provide a link for the calculator?

That is good to know. I have been mixing my own with Loarann's for a long time and getting some lung irritation--which I hope is from the carmel coloring. I use keoke, butterscotch and caramel, which are all too dark, but I love the taste. It would be nice to find a clear alternative without losing flavor!

Do you have a list of your flavors that currently use this new flavoring source? Might affect what I choose in my next order :)

Thanks

The flavors are few at the moment. We're talking about someone who has been in the perfumery business and is now trying her hand at flavorings and seems to be relying on my blessings whether or not they're worth carrying.

They are:

Brandy
Dairy
Vanilla
Caramel
Black Cherry
Bavarian Creme

That's it so far. She sends me droves of test samples that I give a "yay" or "nay" on. This will take a long time. So don't hold up your orders for me thinking this switch is going to happen in the next few days. This is a serious research and development project we're both working on. It will take time. But the end result, will be flavors that a LOT of U.S. E-LIquid suppliers can use and don't have to wait two+ weeks to get as we have from "other" companies.
