How in the world can a company do business while "down on maintenance"? Many companies has workarounds for this, such as a backup server for starters, if this is the true reason.
If their business is a booming one, I cannot see technical difficulties as the reason, again other businesses has a backup plan in place for most any technical one. Few demanding businesses can afford to lose
three days worth of sales, it would take weeks or months to recover any economic losses, not to mention some that are impatient would swap vendors & possibly like what they get, a huge risk to take for a growing business (I'm loyal to those who meets my needs of today, not yesterday or tomorrow).
However, it's my hope that this is truly a maintenance issue & not an illness or death in the family. That would be a valid reason to be closed & understandable.
Down for maintenance could include virtually anything, including it's none of our business, but still, it's not good for business. Customers would likely understand what is going on, if more details were provided.
More than likely, these
three days gives the competition to run a promo, somewhere along the lines of 15 to 25% off, to attract new (or deporting) customers. Fact is, if a customer cannot get their supply from their regular vendor & are desperately short, there's many others wanting the business.
That's one reason why I keep a 2-3 week supply of e-
juice on hand.
