Does anyone know if there is an easy way to completely drain the batteries? I know with normal rechargable batteries, the best habit is to drain the battery as much as possible before recharging to avoid "memory" issues and lengthen the life of the battery. I assume that it's the same for these. How dead is the battery when it starts the long blink? The only way I can think of to completely drain the battery is to suck on the end of the battery until it stops responding.

Scurvy--that is the Worst think you can do to a Lithium Battery is to cold discharge it. If it is too drained, it may not take a recharge. Our batteries love to be topped off and should be charged before they are drained------------Sun

Do Not Drain Any Lithium ion Batts! Especially These Small Cheapo OEM E-Cig Batts! They are made from cheapo battery cells and a piece of crap PCB that don't last long anyways.

Its Better To Charge Lithium Batts More Frequently. In Other Words Charge Them Per Manufacturers Instructions (if available) and before The Low Batt LED Signal.

If you attempt to condition the lithium batts u will ruin them.

Thanks Sun! I guess I was going by how rechargables used to work in the beginning when I was young and computers were the size of small buildings. :D

Welcome (ya) ScurvyDog (aaargh!) :D

Theoretically, LI-Ion batteries do not have any memory issues and there is no need to drain them periodically before recharging. I say theoretically because some of the ecig manufacturers (Joye 510) specify extremely long initial charging times and specific steps to "condition" the battery.

Thanks for the welcome, although I've been lurking here a while now. :D I thought this was probably a pretty noob question though, so I posted it here.

So...what is conditioning? I am using a generic 801 pen style units. I assume that these are all "conditioned" before they are shipped, if it's required, but I have never heard that in reference to batts. I've gotten most of my stuff from Puresmoker and e-smokeytreats although I have a couple NJOYS just because I can buy them from the local truck stop.
