I tried my io6 w/ a drip shield and sadly the draw was far too tight. I was going to sand down the OD of the drip tip for the io6 so it wouldn't be as restrictive in the drip shield... but forgot to do so lol.

That's what i did on mine. If i remember correctly around 4 360 degree turns of sand paper lol! Im waiting for theecig to send my dt and im set! Hope all of us get it soon

Wow... I had just been trying out my I06 2.5 ohm atty again after a week or two, and I was thinking "meh, draw is kind of airy". For some reason I was thinking that a drip shield wouldn't work on it, and I hadn't bothered to try it out. Works perfectly, and tightens up the draw, which I'm enjoying quite a bit.

Sadly I don't have a chrome+blue LED provari with a snazzy blue drip shield to put on it. I do have a a couple hex drip shields on the way though. Maybe I'll take some pics of my chrome provari+i06+drip shield then :p

I like to vape hot, so 3.5 ohms would be a little too cool for me sometimes at 6 volts. What would be perfect would be a 3 ohm. 3 ohms at 6 volts is a nice even 12 watts, which is sometimes nice, depending on the juice.

My bad I don't exactly know what grit it is, really fine tho, it's a left over piece I had when I was buffing my watch. It's yellow if that helps. The 4 turns is almost enough to polish the semi textured finish on my io6.

What grit? And ya - I preordered a handful of the pyrex DT's... hoping they're here before Christmas.

Quick question on the drip shield. May not be the right place to ask, but I figured I'd try here first.

Are these easy to get on/off an i06? I use a 2.5 i06 on 5v at home, and a 1.5 on 3.7v on the road/at work. Basically I use 2 different attys each day. Would it be practical for me to move a drip shield from atty to atty multiple times per day, or should I just order 2? I really like the idea (and they look pretty awesome), so I'll be getting at least one....but would like to save $15 if not necessary.
