Peng, I'm going to be starting on yours next, since I still have the ring for reference :)

That is fine. Take your time, no rush. Just send them both together, if you don't mind. Packages are not making their way easily with the weather, so waiting on the new shop is better than taking a chance of a package getting lost in the postal system.

Still holding off on custom orders for a bit, BUT... Rob finally got a few more brass Grand doors in stock and have have a few coming my way. If there's a look you'd really like, let me know and I'll try to accommodate :)

Thanks y'all for your patience, this "down time" will most certainly be for the greater benefit of the Spa and anyone who frequents it, I promise :)

Mark, if you can save one for me I think it's about time I pick one up. I'm not in a hurry, so no rush. I've got to think on colors for a bit...

So this happened today. Hope to get some decent pics, but I'll say this thing is great! To say this pic doesn't do it justice is an understatement. I almost didnt post it because the quality of the pic is so bad, it makes the patina look... I don't know, something bad. Either way, can't wait, I have to show it off now.

Very nice! I like the way the patina reflects off the topper too!

Thanks, it's just that orange cast on the mod & my hand and the lack of detail & focus. This is an extremely thin patina, with just a museum wax seal/polish that's a few micron thick, so it still feels and looks like milled copper. All the milled lines still come through, it's really a lot like using oil to finish wood instead of a poly or enamel.

This one will require maintenance every so often to replenish the wax finish, but I don't mind. This combo vapes as nice as it looks. Now I'm eager to finish the brass one.

Thanks Muzic! One of the reasons I did a patina & finish like this, with wax instead of a typical clear coat. I can go back and change the patina anytime I want, or for that matter, sand out the mill lines. I kind of like them and how they feel. We'll see if I still keep them once I decide to do a different patina on this one.

If it were me, those machine lines would have to go and the same patina put back in place... Looks like some kid in shop class machined that thing... It's kinda driving me nuts just looking at the pics. Glad it's in your hands and not mine...
