I received my vape mail yesterday with 3 RBAs. I tried vaping them, all of them, with the premade wick/coil and got a horrible burning taste. So I wrapped coils for all three making sure it wasn't touching the silica ring and they all still have a foul taste. Any ideas on what I can do?

It's probably leftover machine oil. I let mine soak in some alcohol for an hour and then wiped and rinsed it. Tastes fine after.

What he said. I ended up building a new looped and braided silica W/C for it. Very nice little unit after a day of break-in. First RBA for me. I love it! I need to find one I can take to work now and have last me all day. I just ordered the AGA -S.

Thanks. Just gave the one I ordered to the hubby for his birthday yesterday and he loves it. I have one too and he kept stealing mine so it was time to give him his own. That is an awesome price. i see them in the classifieds used for more. I am tempted to get a couple more as back ups but I might hold off til you get the stainless steel. If you rebuild these using your own wick and wire these are awesome. I use the same 3mm wick and 30G kanthal that I use in my $120 Penelope and this thing works as well or better for a fraction of the cost!! Thanks!!

I use 2 silica wicks and wrap some .5 x .1 mm Kanthal ribbon in mine. Huge vapor and flavor.
