Recently I bought two RB from DV: BT804 and Choice Rebuildable Atomizer (I wanted a dripping and a tank RB). Though I'm fairly new to the RB scene, this is my take on the BT804.

Overall, the device looks good. I can firmly seat BT804 on to a provari. The air channel is located on the side of bottom assembly so air flow is not restricted. The device is tall and heavy (composed of chrome over brass). The threading on the device is not smooth (bit chunky, could be better). The device breaks down into a sealed 510 connector with spring, main atomizer, mid body (that sits inside the tank), tank, and the top assembly (drip tip included). The device comes with a coil built in and 5 additional coils in the packaging.

When I dissasembled everything, the prebuilt coil looked "suspect". So I threw it out and washed all the parts. I took out a new coil from the package and proceeded to install the coil. At this point, I encountered two minor cons; The positive and negative leads get pushed inside the holes in the base and the connection is made by inserting two posts into the holes. The posts are tiny...really tiny. Since there were no extra parts, you have to be careful with the posts (though it is easy to install a coil). Secondly, the included coils have long wicks. The inner chamber is sealed from the tank by a mid-body section that screws into the base. Since the coils needs to be directly over the air hole, it was annoying to tighten the mid-body section without moving the coil location (I ended up cutting it shorter).

Once everything was assembled, I poured 12mg, 50/50 juce into the tank by removing the upper cap (just like Vivi Nova). I did couple of primer puffs and noticed that the juice level went down half-way. I guess the 2 juice channels that were cut into the base did its job (I completley tightened the mid-body section) I fired my device and got plume of smoke and strong throat hit (more like throat smash). It was more throat hit than vivi nova. Also the flavor was good. However, the draw was airly. Also vaper was bit cooler because of the distance between the coil and the mouth piece. Maybe I'm imagining this but I "feel" more nicotine in my juice when compared to a carto tank or vivi.

Overall, I like the device. I would love the device if it was made from stainless steel; the package contained couple of spare parts (O-rings and posts); and if the tank held more juice.

i agree with your review. i have never had so much vapor.
awesome rba overall, having trouble with wicking unlessi unscrew middle.
throat hit is like a shotgun, flavor is unreal.
easy to refill, but mid-body takes up most of the tank.
would like a different coil attachment, the shims will be easy to lose, and limit wire size.
like to see more of these in the future.

Thank you so much for posting this review! I bought 2 and they arrived yesterday--I was having some issues with wicking/dry hits, tasted awful, so I filled up the other one, only a little better. After I read all 3 posts above, I tore both of them apart, and the coils did look "suspect" (perfect term for it!) So I took out the little pack of coiled wicks, and put a new one in, then I spread out the coil a bit with the point of my little scissors. I put the center piece on and screwed it almost all the way down, left it a little bit loose, trimmed the wick ends, finished assembling it and filled it up. Holy smokes, it vapes flippin' awesome possum!!!

Did I say THANK YOU??!!

Also, thanks for mentioning the extra posts in there, cuz I didn't even see them until I went to take a new wick out, those things are itty bitty and it's a pretty sure thing that I will lose one or both eventually... No extra o rings though, unless they are hidden somewhere else.

Wanted to mention, keep an eye on that little bugger of an o ring on the top cap under the drip tip, the thing almost went right down the drain when I was rinsing it out, luckily there was a bowl in the sink that caught it.

Oh darn it, I meant to roll up a little bit of mesh and stick it in that bottom hole, but I forgot--I wonder how big of a piece i would need to use?

Thanks to all of you as I was baffled on this thing! Burnt originally then flooded it by not putting the wicks in the slots-liquid just disappeared for a moment and there it was in my lap! It works great with everything mentioned above. Now if it would hold more juice it would be super!

Why don't these things come with directions?! Well, anyway, that's why I love reviews and I search for them, I almost always figure out my problem by running across someone who experienced something similar. I'm in the DV forum everyday, but didn't see this thread until I started googling my issues! Doh!

Bummer about the liquid in your lap---I wasted a good bit of some of my favorite e-liquid trying to get this thing figured out!

Hey Zooker, I'm glad things worked out for you. I was nervous when I took it apart that I took pictures as I went (I completely agree with you about lacking directions...but since it was a kayfun clone, I watched a youtube video and it helped).

And Woody, sorry that it flooded on you. For me, juice occationally comes into the air chamber...maybe I shouldn't have laid it on the side.

I'm glad everyone is enjoying it. I'm glad I can contribute to the forum despite the fact that I'm a newb to RB.

Calpis, thank you for the tip; I'll try it when my next order comes in with some mesh.

Victory, my take on the choice rebuildable is coming soon. I just got it working pretty well.

This is a bit of a bump on an old thread but a useful piece of info I read elsewhere is to remove the o-ring from the top-center. You can rest the wicks in the channels still and it removes any air pressure problems. Now I see little bubbles pop up through the channels now and then. No need to suck or blow and no flooding during refills. I've held mine upside-down for 5 minutes without any leaking. For the pocket-paranoid, perhaps a simple rubber plug between the drip-tip and mouth-hole would keep it from leaking...

By the way, why is this not more obvious? Coupon code BT804 gets you a seriously big discount... and why no ship to Korea, DV? Sadness. :(

It's cheap; it works; it's flavorful; it's cheap..

All it does is convince me that bottom-coil is what I prefer over my AGA-T's. (I drove a screw thru the side of a vivi tank that also locks that center-tube in place - had I taps, I'd add a set-screw to the centerpiece against the threads, midway between wick holes - which, btw, you don't fill with wick)

What I want now is a Terminator or two.
