I never liked how the Igo-L was set up. I was never happy with how I wrapped the coil around the posts. So I decided to drill holes in the posts like the Igo-W is set up. I bought a Dremel drill bit set at Home Depot. It has drill bits from 1/32" up to 1/8". The 3/64" drill bit was an exact match to the holes on the Igo-W, so that's what I used. Getting the holes started was a bit challenging. I just went slowely and made sure each of the posts were positioned exactly below the tip of the bit. Once I got a good seat started, the drill bit went right through. photo (8).jpgphoto (6).jpgphoto (2).jpg

My Igo has been shelved until I do this mod as well, I simply don't have the finger dexterity for wrapping the fine wire around the screws, especially when adjusting for hot legs and resistance.

agreed. and i use TWISTED 28g kanthal. its not fun, i bent many tweezers doing new builds. haha. but this is just gonna make things SOOO much easier.

Holy Cr@@! Thank god I checked this out before actually drilling my posts. I almost drilled them out with a 1/16 bit. Had dremel geared up with a 1/16 bit and noticed the threads for the posts were almost the same size as the bit... Thank You.
