Drilling new rm2 top cap

I ordered a new rm2 top cap as I had drilled mine and was not happy I had. How do I setup and drill blank top cap to factory hole size. Do I have to mark where coil sits and transfer that to top cap? I think it is 1mm,are drill bits readily available for this? Thanks ,Dave

You'll need a little center punch to start. Just tap it easy enough to make a mark the RM2 is thin brass and very soft. If you don't make a starting point the drill bit will slip and muck things up. I'm not sure of the size but someone will be along.

I put a small piece of masking tape and tap it lightly and then drill. Stock hole I believe is 1mm
