My e-cig will be here in the morning. I've been passing the time here at work reading up on what it will be like to quit analogs and move to all vapor.

One thing suddenly crossed my mind. Normally, I don't even like smoking that much. After that morning cig and may a couple while listening to music that are mildly enjoyable, most of the time its just habit and I can't stand the smell, the taste, or having to go out in the freezing cold or right now the overwhelming pollen to get my fix.

However, despite this love hate relationship, nothing is sweeter to me than a night off after three or four shots of whiskey taking those first few drags of a cigarette. So I have to ask, is drinking alcohol and then vaping as fullfilling as an analog?

Your smoking habits sound the same as mine. I probably only smoked 8 analogs/day maximum. Vaping is much more pleasurable. Plus, you get to show it off at the bar and be the "cool guy with the electric cigarette". I still enjoy an analog every now and then when I've been drinking, but so far (about 7 weeks) I've probably only smoked about 5-6 regular cigs.

I was going to make a whole new thread but I think everyone but me would see that as a waste, lol....

IT CAME!!!!!

I'm cool like you guys now! lol, puffin on my PV surfin the e-cig forum.

It is taking a little getting used to. It was kind of funny. I was struggling to figure out how to do it just right. I was sitting in front of a mirror trying different ways to puff on it with primer puff, and forming a tight seal, all that. Finally I got a good one in, took a throat hit, and exhaled smoothly. A big smile came across my face in the mirror. I nodded and said "nice..." lol, I wish I had filmed it.

I tend to smoke lightly during the day, but if I have adult beverages (such as Coke and Vodka, nutritious as well as delicious) I tend to smoke like a fiend.

Turns out, I enjoy the electronic cigarettes just as much as the analog when drinking. Indeed, I am not allowed to smoke in the house, but with the e-smoke I can sit at my desk like a human and vape to my hearts content.

True, if I have enough adult refreshment I may sneak out for a 'real' smoke, but having one or two analogs a night sure beat half a pack.

I seem to be in the minority. My beer of choice is Boulevard Pale Ale, a local brewery in Kansas City. Took a tour of the place last year and it was great. There brewery is one the best in the world.

The ale is an acquired taste for sure. Most of my friends are lite beer drinkers, coors, bud light, miller lite and so on,. Most won't even touch my pale ale. Which is good then I dont' have to share.

The problem is the analogs and the beer where married so to speak. Now that I'm vaping and not smoking analogs my favorite beer tastes horrible. I don't know if it's the taste bud thing or what?

All in all I drank about 5-6 a night, an expensive habit I admit. Now at most I'll drink 2 and sometimes zero.

It's ok I've actually cut down on the soda as well. No need to kill the burn from analogs I guess. I've been vaping for a month and have already dropped 5 pounds, probably from the beer and pop.

Yeah its like today being my first day my body is all confused. I still have some analogs and I am mostly smoking the vapor but every now and then smoking the vapor makes me want to smoke an analog. It isn't so much a nicotine craving eithier. And its not because I don't like the vapor. I love it. espicially these choclate carts. I am totally going gay for them. But I don't know...I am smoking less analog today, maybe I am just having a weening period? Eithier way tommorow I am not smoking analogs no matter what, I'll be out and won't buy anymore.

The other weird thing is while its nice to be sitting here on my desktop and vapeing, I still have the unquenchable urge to go outside every thirty minutes. This happened to me the first tiem I quit smoking too. Even after the cravings were gone, every thrity minutes to an hour I'd go outside and just stand there, not exactly sure what I was there for, because I was so used to going outside to smoke.

I remember reading somewhere it takes about 3 weeks to break a habit.Your smoking routine is imprinted in you.
Let me know in 3 weeks if you still feel this way!

I was worried the first time I was around adult beverages and accsessible analogs.
The vaping did the trick just fine for me.
As a added bonus, I didnt have a tight chest the next day from smoking too damn much the night before!

I remember that moment. It was at that instant I realised these things were for real and that I'd given up smoking.

Yeah I'm thinking for the next few weeks I'm going to be using the forum here as a support group while I kick the analogs. The vapoizer is a tool not a cure all, it still takes will power. But I have that. I'll just stop smoking the analogs now.

There is a lot I like about these PVs. One thing I just noticed smoking the mirror again is that there is something about the vapor that just goes well with my personal style in a way smoking cigarettes does not. Part of it is probably I don't feel like I'm slowly dying inside when I take a puff. But there is also something about the look of that wispy vapor and the way I hold it...I don't feel I have to be humble, I look GOOD smoking this.

:D I have totally done that as well, its so weird, its like you feel there should be something more to DO.

I still go outside, much less now but the dog has to pee, and I take my 901 with me, vape and take deep breaths of clean cool air :D

I'm at the point right now (just started vaping 3 weeks ago) where I prefer vaping over smoking. However, I was out with some buddies the other night and started pounding beers with them. I must say that the perfect thing for the moment was to have an analog along with them. I kept vaping as the night wore on but throughout the whole night it felt like something was missing and the more I drank, the more I wanted an analong. Nevertheless, I made it through the whole night without having one. If there was an incident where I would slip and have an analog, it would be situations such as this.

BTW... why do vape and vaping show up as mispelled words on this forum?
