So, I'm pretty new to vaping. I've had a ce4 with an ego batt for the past couple of weeks, just got an evod, and have tried a few brands of juice.

Obviously, I'm still getting used to the experience; experimenting, learning, etc. My question is in regards to drinking and vaping, because I've read people recommend against it, especially for noobs, due to it drying out your throat more.

I'm kind of tipsy right now, for the first time in a while (trying to cut back on drinking while I also quit smoking, lol), but I'm getting great vapor and the flavor of this juice tastes the best it ever has. When I'm sober and vaping, sometimes the vapor and flavor just isn't where I want it, and I've been getting really bad coughs at night. Right now, though, I feel like a vape-star.

I know that when I smoked cigs, I'd often kill a pack in a night at the bar and wake up hurting the next day. Is this a similar effect? Am I just drunk enough where I'm ignoring the negatives, or am I more relaxed and just not doing it right when I'm sober? Cause while I'm totally on the vape train, the sober night cough is really bothering me and sometimes it seems like I can't taste my juice at all and/or I get harsh hits.

As an aside, I used to hack and cough like crazy in the morning, and that's stopped since I kicked the analogs :2cool: so...right on?

As you said, you kicked the cigarettes so Right on...

Just remember that when you vape too much you will not get a vape hangover - but your throat might be a little raw in the morning.

There is nothing inherently wrong with vaping and drinking, just try to drink an occasional glass of iced water or something just to help your throat out when having a few drinks.

Also when drinking you may (depending on the device) get brave and turn up your APV a little more, mix some juices, take longer pulls - all of which can improve flavor - but also dehydrate you quickly.

I guess I'm just trying to say drink a little more water regardless of you are indulging of the adult beverage or not, and you should be fine.

Welcome to the forum peenie, both drinking (alcoholic beverages) and vaping are dehydrating, so InTheShade is giving you good advice, try to drink more water. Also you can experiment with your nic juice pg can be irritating to some people, for example if you are vaping 70/30 pg/vg, try 50/50 pg/vg. Congrats on quitting smoking and hang in there! :)

I'm wondering if it's not just the water.

I drink TONS of water during the day at work, but when I get home switch to soda or beer, and then get the coughs at night. That would make sense.

I'm more curious about why I'm about to get such better flavor and vapor at this moment than most others. Just an anesthetized throat? I'm not trying to suggest that I get crap hits all day if I'm not drinking, but it seems hit or miss. One moment I'll be puffing out a good cloud and licking my lips, the next my throat hurts and it tastes weak, or even worse, bad. I guess I'm just over-thinking it? I'm still not to the point where vaping is second nature, like smoking cigarettes, so maybe I just need more time.

Sounds to me like you should be drinking more often!

Kidding. I drink a couple times a week and suffer no ill effects from drinking and vaping a ton. I'd not worry about it but you can keep a water or something near by so you can hydrate while you vape. blow pops work good too to restore your taste bugs when vaping a .... load.
