Drip tip boogers

Ok. Vapin on my EGoGo today (love this mod by the way). Have refilled this particular carto, with Peach Mango, around ohhhh....10 times. Tonight I pulled out what can best be described as an ejuice booger out of my drip tip. About the size of a Rice Krispie,was brown,squishy and smelled like my Peach Mango. The carto still vapes fine but......what the hell was that?

hmmmm curious here also as I've not had that happen either!

I generally pull my tips off to fill, just my preference, but if I do drip through the tip, I usually blow lightly thru the tip to push the liquid into the carto.

Are you using a high vg juice? Sounds like it could have been left over dribs/drabs of juice, but again with the little bugger I would think you would have noticed a difference on the draw...no?

Could be some fibers from a wick that came apart?

I get a bit of pocket lint in my drip tips every once in awhile. I could see juice collecting on that and causing a booger looking thing. I take off the drip tip to fill when using cartos and always give it a couple of good blows when dripping (I hate juice in the mouth). I recently started dripping again and forgot how much I like it. It's just a PITA compared to cartos, which I've been using exclusively for many months now.

Yeah I fill my cartos with the tip off also. It was vaping fine. I just happened to look into the drip tip and saw this thing. I can understand a small bit of residue but this was a glob of gunk. And no I'm not a slob or "pig pen" lol. I keep all my equipment pretty clear and clean. As I have no idea what it was, it makes me wonder of build up gunk like this in my lungs.

I've been using drip tips for over two years with various juices from various suppliers and never had any buildup of any kind.
Whatever that thing was that you pulled out of there, it definitely was not a buildup of juice.

This happens to me sometimes and it's usually when I'm under the weather or it is cold outside. I believe it is just dead epithelial cells from dried lips that mix with the juice/vapor and can build up inside the tip.

I wash my drip tips off. Set them in alcohol once a week for a few minutes too. If you've ever seen the Lennart Nillson films on the microscopic stuff that lives on us and everywhere, you would too. Maybe you had an entire colony of these babies clustered in there:

That is why I shy away from drip tips. I do not like the so called pocket lint, hay seeds, paper dust from work, etc that seem to accumulate in the drip tips. If using an atomizer, I usually use an empty cartridge tip, but I use cartomizers more on my bottom feeder. I get no boogers.

Regular cleaning the drip tip (or not) is the issue here. I use a stainless steel drip tip that is removed before carto filling. With each filling I swab the tip bore with a Q-Tip. I also wash the drip tip with anti-bacterial dish washing soap once in a while. No problems with drip tip boogers or cooties, yet.

Cleaning doesn't have anything to do with it in my opinion.

I use one drip tip all the time, day in and day out, and I maybe wash it once per month.
I am someone who believes in collecting germs to make my immune system stronger.

And yes, I'm serious.

If you drop a slice of pizza on the ground, I'll eat it.
And I have no 5 second rule.

While I dont remove the tips and wash them I do swab them out quite often. And I always remove the tip when topping off the carto. I'm on disability for being f'ed in the head so I dont have alot of other places me and my PV go other than my room. Or in my car or a friends house sometimes. So it's not like it sees alot of different places. It was without a doubt juice. There was no debris in it,it squished like a cooked pea and it smelled exactly like the juice I was tooting. It was a build up of juice in the drip tip. The juice in the carto was clear but the booger was brown. How and why.....I dont know. Maybe it was a build up in the wick and on a certain toot it dislodged it. I dunno. It's not stopped me from vapping in any way. Was just...........weird.

I've had Q-tips come apart on me when I clean tips before with them. Maybe a hunk of the cotton got stuck and then got filled with juice ?
