Drip tip question

Does it really make a difference in flavors?

I used a stainless steel tip and a plastic tip on the same tank and power source and get a different taste, am I imagining this?

For me, no, it makes no difference at all. I suppose it would depend on what finish(if any) whoever made the metal drip tip is using. I have used many stainless drip tips and have never had a problem. Taste is subjective, i know youve heard that phrase 2409943 times but its true, each persons taste buds are different and you could be more sensitive to the metal taste than me or other people. good luck on your search to figure out why it tastes differently.

I have found that some of the cheaper SS tips have a metal taste to me. Usually they are not 100 percent SS, they are SS coated.

I go between an aluminum whistle tip and a few acrylic tips and see no difference in taste at all.

I see no difference at all. I have a Delrin tip and a stainless steel tip and i sence nothing other then feeling. Maybe if you have a cheap one it may taste matalic like a penny or battery end or somthing.

I don't like metal drip tips because they cool the vapor too much. The aluminum ones will suck all the heat out of the vapor; I prefer the plastic for this reason.
