Drip Tips and Taste

I've read some posts where vapers have said using a different drip tip can change the taste. Now this makes no sense to me at all except that I don't like the feel of metal on my lips. But "feel" IMO has nothing to do with taste, or does it? What do you veterans like and why?

The only thing I could think of that would make a difference in the taste between different drip tips might be a difference in air flow between them but I honestly have never noticed a difference.
