The beautiful Puget Sound
I was outside the other night and the temp had dropped down to about 40. I put my Protank 2 up to my lips, and dang it was cold!

This will be my first winter vaping so I started thinking about it. I can't use a plastic drip tip if I'm vaping citrus or cinnamon etc. I thought maybe a glass tip, it would be better but still pretty cold. Someone mentioned Delrin in a thread while I was researching, will that melt with citrus? Maybe using one of those rubber condoms? What do you use in cold weather?

It rarely gets below 25 F where I live, but I don't want to walk around with my Protank stuck to my lips.

Delrin stays pretty neutral in cold temps, as does wood and clay. I have some bamboo and clay drip tips coming from Molehill Mountain just for cold weather.

good question! im gonna say no its not ok... Polyoxymethylene the is chemical name for delrin. it is susceptible to polymer degradation catalyzed by acids. the chemical in the juice that reacts with tanks and types of plastic is an "Ester". and the esters used in flavors and fragrances are almost always acidic. short answer no don't do it.

There's typically a SS sleeve running the length of the better delrin DTs... the cheap ones, not so much. ;-)
