Most definitely.

Although I don't always actually use it to drip... I prefer to be able to see the filler as I'm dripping, helps me know how dry it is... But the drip tips are just SO much easier to remove than the little rubber stopper thingy

here's my metal tapered tip on a naked coolcart, on an XL, sitting next to me

Nice pic, bpaulette!

I have a question for drip-tip users: I have a Super-T delrin drip tip, and I have a really hard time getting it out of my cartos, so I haven't been using it very much, although I like the contour of it. I don't think I would like the metal kind (though I haven't tried one), but is it because I have delrin that it is so hard to remove?

Lou - I've also got some delrin tips, and actually, they pop on and off a bit easier than the metal one ... at least they do on my CoolCarts - haven't tried them on a premium carto (they just don't look quite as slick on a naked cart and chrome batt - heheh) ....EDIT: just popped em on a premium carto, and they fit just fine

Is it possible your "super-t" is just a little bit too big?

btw - I get my drip tips from Good Prophets - $0.99 ea. (i'm assuming since V4L doesn't sell drip tips, its ok to post that? ...if not, a mod or somebody can delete that! won't bother me :D)

I just looked at the Super T site, and it looks like the O-ring they use is thicker. I chose to go with this kind because it seemed to have a wider mouth, with a smooth inside.

I have the shorty contoured, so it is harder to grip. Once I have gotten it on and off a few times, it is much easier (the carto stretches out.) But I have marks in it from trying to pry it out of cartos, and that spoils the nice feel. I am going to try a nail file on it, and see if that helps. It just occurred to me that I should try putting a bit of juice on the part that goes into the carto, to see if that will help.

MaryKay - you might like these Drip Tips if you like curved ones. I've seen others that have these in purples, if you got the new purple batts. (I fail to bookmark things so would have to look for it)

Don't you have to keep the plastic top of the carto off though, to use these? (I never understood drip-tips)

They look slightly overdone to me. But, if you're looking for extreme colors, though, these would seem to be difficult to forget.

For me the cartos work well without extras but, I'd consider one of these as a paper weight!

I use the colored contoured aluminum drip-tips (510/901s) with my V4L cartos -- old premiums, new premiums, cool carts, all of them! I've gone with "marking" the flavors based on the tip color instead of the cart color, just a lot easier for me...

I've also used the black delrins, they are good too. Just a tiny bit different "mouth-feel".

They're all easy to refill / top-off, easy for a quick drip, easy on the eyes and lips. I was hesitant about the aluminum (metal on the teeth, ouch!)at first -- but no worries, now that I have them. I just love them and highly recommend!

I have one of these and I LOVE it! It fits the cartos perfectly. I didn't want something metal and I really like the swirly colors. I like to keep my cartos nice and wet for the best flavor and it's so easy to just pop it off and drip down into the fluff every so often. No mangled paperclip needed!

I stand corrected. They do have a practical use! Cool!

They just look like metal but they're not! Double cool!

Thanks for the head's up, AprilRain !!

(very purdy set up on yours, Gizmo!)

EDIT: MaryKay - Here ya go, on the purples....Color choices galore! (I like these ones better or at least the photographer)
