You can just drip down into them, but they were designed for atomizers, so the liquid goes down the middle. For cartomizers, I prefer to drip down the side so the liquid goes into the fluff instead on into the hole. So I just pop it off to top off the carto. I like the drip tips because they are easy to take off, no special tools needed... that and mine looks too cool! LOL

I stand corrected. They do have a practical use! Cool!

They just look like metal but they're not! Double cool!

Thanks for the head's up, AprilRain !!

(very purdy set up on yours, Gizmo!)

EDIT: MaryKay - Here ya go, on the purples....Color choices galore! (I like these ones better or at least the photographer)

Thanks for the props, WOW.

BTW, just wanted to say that the aluminum tips I use do not get hot, but some metal DTs are stainless and they probably conduct heat a lot differently than aluminum!

ETA: Just got a PM from a friend who now has a blister from burning her lips with an aluminum DT, ouch! Not sure if all aluminum DTs are alike, perhaps it's all in how you vape? Using mine at 3.7/4.3ish and 5v without a problem...)

Did you make it yourself?

(Ouch, yes! I don't use the drip-tips - you can put one of the condom covers over the top after taking out the inside center of it - not flashy but helps - I guess they could be covered to make your own. I don't vape that high anymore (most times) so it's not a worry like it used to be. Still vape a lot, just not HV. Probably at 3.2 on a half charged batt.)

Nooooo...but it makes me want to try! :)

Another ECF member I met at a SC meet recently had made several and brought them to share (she was relatively new to vaping and felt like she didn't have much else to "pass-around" at a meet - like juice samples, PVs, etc)

It was the best trade I made that day! Now I want one to match all of the other colors I have, LOL.

You know, I've been using them (DTs) on all my PVs (and my V4l PT), as well with different kinds of cartos -- they do warm up more on the premiums, for sure. But I haven't gotten any of them hot enough to burn (thank goodness) and I do vape alot!

I must have tough lips, LOL

Not to shabby. I thought it was pro-made - just looking at it it seems very well made! You definitely lucked out on that trade!

I like them but would worry the batt would slip off the ring or be more prone to scratches used out. I can definitely see it used while lounging!

I'm also thinking of making my own leather lanyard using something with the gals would appreciate. Those also don't seem very hard to make, Most I've noticed have a definite 'rugged'/'macho' look that doesn't match anything. The bottom would be tricky to close though but, would be a nice cold-weather way to carry any batt.

I aksed a long time ago, if the lanyard could untie to add a bead - y'know, like build up to a good zurconia but add a bead every month - I didn't get an answer (like what else is new?) then figured out I could make my own for under $6 and get 11 beads for 2$. The year mark could be a high end cubic zurconia or a real charm. The possibilities are endless but the suggestion could be personalized to anyone's color choice - sort of the best of both a beaded lanyard with a leather encasing. Haven't made it yet to figure out how it might hold an eGo and/or traded out to hold a pen for when you want your e-cig in its case or just out of sight.

But, ya - you could make one - it's straight beading. :)
