Might want to get yourself a 510/521 Tab for checking and building on as an afterthought.
You mean like a little screw in "build bench"? Was figuring just to use a turned off GX2/4 in 4 battery configuration (more stable) since have 3 of them with 2 more on the way.

NOPE googled 510 tab and it's a tester. Oh boy more toys lol!

Yeah you will remember to turn off that MOD when building the first time you hit the fire button while trying to position the coils. Actually I find doing the coil winding takes less time then setting up the deck. But I only make Twisted, Clapton or Plain winds.
Wonder how it'd compare to the time I was careless and got zapped by 220v about a decade ago?

It isn't the Volts that kills you it is the Amps! Been zapped by 110 or 220 so many times I am surprised I don't have an Afro!
Good 4x18650 batteries only capable of around 80A. Wait, it only takes 100-200 mA to kill you on no!

I was talking more about burns on the fingers when assembling the RBA/RDA's but I don't think a couple of batteries could kill you unless of course you have a pacemaker??? Just my opinion and not based on any scientific facts you know! LOL

I use Evods and sometimes iClear 16's for testing. Original Evod knockoffs (not the version 2) are $2-ish at FastTech and a pack of coils is $5-ish.

When you're done testing, toss'em all in a pot of boiling water for 10-15 mins.

Only drawback is that you'd want to replace the stock coil out of the mail. I don't think the clones have coils below 2.4 ohms.

I test maybe one or two batches a month now. I've been DIY'ing my favorites for years and they don't need testing.

Thanks for the input all. I'm hitting the brakes on upgraditits temporarily! Since I have 4 BBB attys at the moment and 2 more on the way coming with the addictional GX2/4's for now think I'll just keep using a BBB or 2 or 3 when needing to test. Cleaning a coil between juice tests only takes me about 10 minutes.

The Kanger Dripbox 60 has an RDA that uses prebuilt decks with coils and cotton.

I'm interested in getting a dripper for testing juices but am not interested in coil building at this time. Did some searching but not finding anything helpful. Any suggestions? Or are all drippers RBA?
I thought an rda was required for testing DIY mixes and that delayed getting started. What I should have done at the start was to use unflavored DIY to dilute premix I already like. 50/50 works. For me 25/75 worked even better. Now you are cutting the cost of liquid by 50-75%. Then with a little more confidence add some flavoring to your unflavored, the less the better. My everyday DIY has 1% flavoring.
