Drippers or Genesis?

Hey guys,

I`ve recently ordered an AGA T2 and i can`t wait to get it so i can start playing around with it. My question here is why would someone choose a rda over a rba or vice versa?

My major goal is to get nice big and thick clouds of vapor. I know that this depends on your set-up, but I`ve seen on youtube that many people are using RDAs (the nimbus being a popular one) to get crazy vapor production. Is there a reason for this? Also, are RDAs more prone to leak.

What would you guys choose after having tried both and why?

Each one has their own has their own benefits. A dripper is essentially foolproof, which is what I love about them. There's never a concern about wicking, and the vapor is usually warmer simply because most drippers are very small. A genesis is wonderful too, but the setup is a bit more finicky, and the vapor tends to be cooler (than a dripper, anyways). The flavor, for me, has been similar, but many people believe a genesis will give you the best flavor. Throat hit also depends on setup, but personally I've found mesh to give a very particular throat hit. My dripper gives a very satisfying throat hit, but from a genesis it's a little bit more harsh, but not in a bad way.

As for the steam engine clouds of vapor you see online, that comes from multiple coils, a massive air hole, and a lung inhale, all of which tend to be unique to drippers. At least, I wouldn't try a lung hit with a genesis.

How long can you smoke before you have to drip again?

Depends on how heavy you vape and how much wick you use in your rebuildable and how hot the coil is. I pretty much chain vape, so I top off frequently. Inconvenient yes, but that's how I have always done it so it doesn't bother me.

What`s a good quality RDA? i see a lot of people talking about the IGO-L, Ebaron Dripper Pro, and the A7. The people that have tried several RDAs, which one was your favorite? Why?

Also, would i have to top-off the rda every 30min or so if you chain vape?

Depends on the RDA and how much you vape. The IGO-L will hold about 25 drops on the first fill and then 15 -20 to refill after that. The A7 about half that. The Cyclone is a very nice performer (especially with the AFC) but has a small well. I have a Chalice clone that is...meh...but I got a new drip tip out of it. My favorite though is the Reomizer 2.0...it holds about as much as the A7 but is easier to rebuild and has a ceramic base...plus it's attached to my Reo Grand so I never actually have to drip. Just squeeze the bottle and go.

i have an igo-w and the aga-t+ they both are great i do like both of them but for different reasons. igo-w because its a thicker heavier vape but i have to keep a bottle of juice in my pocket. aga-t+ because i dont have to carry juice around they can be a little difficult when they dont want to wick. i run micro coils on both so i dont have to worry about the coils getting hot spots. they both have ups and downs. its just what a personal preferance really

Personally, I am taking a break from genesis atty's. I tried to set up the AGA T2 and the RSST with just regular SS mesh. For the life of me, I get shorts non-stop. I get everything looking good and then when I fill it up with juice, it just takes a nose dive.

The Kayfun Lite is my current project. I actually built a working coil on it the other day. I just need to work out the wick placement. Once I get that working 100%, it will be onto my Ithaka clone. I have some Ekowool coming in the mail. Once I get that, I may try the genesis atty's again because I can put the ekowool where the Kanthal meets the mesh.

If you don't have luck with the SS mesh, try using cotton or silica in the AGA T2. They are much more forgiving when you are new.
