Wanted to go ahead and post this in the new members' forum before I'm unable to. One of the reasons I've spent more money than I should may be because I don't know about dripping. Having only read a teeeeny bit about it, and having just read a thread where they were talking about dripping being the best way to try new flavors, I realize that if I had tried that, I probably wouldn't have bought nearly as much stuff as I have so far. I'm not sad about buying it, because I'm learning a lot, and I have the means, but others don't have the means, and, well, either way, we all wanna save money.

I think that the thing that puts some people off (me, definitely) is the idea of dripping some in every few hits or whatever, rather than just havin a pacifier.

If you've seen my other thread, you can see the battle I'm having with myself about finding the perfect, or even very comfortable flavor, so I guess I am picky or something, and dripping would be the easiest way.

So, I'm sure someone's written a 101 or made a video about it, and I'm wondering if you all could recommend docs or vids that are good for beginners. :)

Also, I am using a clearomizer, and I keep hearing this...click-type sound right when i'm about done with the pull. Does anyone know what it is? It's not -really- a click, so I'm wondering if it is the liquid hitting the coil.

Thanks!

P.S. I have ego-t 1000 maH battery, use atomizer/tank and a non-vision clearomizer, have tried cartos but don't like the taste. don't know anything about mods or anything...

I hated dripping at first, only did one flavor and didn't do it again for about a week, now its alot easier to do, I use a Low Resistance 306 atomizer and drip tip. After a few practices you will get alot better at doing it and knowing your atty. you will learn when flavors running out to add more liquid before you start dry burning

That video as well as just typing direct dripping for newbies into google got me to my LR 306 on my ego batteries. When I first started with the ecig I though dd'ing was a pretty silly way to go about vaping. I went through a disposable kit, the ego-t, the ego-c, clearomizers, cartomizers, the DCT tank, none of them satisfied me! Then I see a thread about a bottom feeder mod, and see dd'ing doesn't have to be such a hassel. So I tried it out, not the mod, can't afford that (yet), and was so very happy I finally tried it! I don't mind the hassel of dd'ing, I actually vape less now because dd'ing is so much more satisfying for me. There is a learning curve and only 3 or 4 days into it now I'm by no means a pro, I still flood the atty now and then, but I'm getting there.

I'm not really sorry about all my previous purchases, just kind of mad at myself for not doing the research I should have done back when I started vaping and accepting the word of the woman at the vapor shop who has since left their employ. Like dnrtn said after a few practices you will learn when the flavors are running out and just how many drops you need to add so you don't over fill. One word of advice though, DON"T Drip and Drive fill up a carto if it's a long trip and there are no stop lights so you can drip while stopped. My drive time isn't that long and there are plenty of stop lights along the way if I do need to drip, which is usually only during rush hour traffic.
