Trying to understand this. So I have an eGo and I have the catridges or cartomizers. With the stuff that came with it, I have the atomizer and then the mouth piece with the sponge inside.
So I basically take a mouth piece and drip (how many drips?) onto the atomizer, replace with empty mouth piece and then try it?

What I'm finding is that they taste all the same when trying this. However when I fill the cartomizers I have, Joye EGO MEGA Blank Cartomizer. The cartomizers seem to have more taste. Am I doing this correctly?

I'm looking for a way to experiment with flavors before I go and fill / waste a cartomizer.

Thanks

It takes some trial and error to get the right amount of juice into the atomizer, I usually do 3-5 drip at a time but I use BE112s (Pen style) which have a lot more capacity than the 510s so you'll probably find that you need less with those.

There can be a fine line between enough juice and a flooded atomizer but the only real way to find it is to experiment and get a feel for it.

The good news is it's fairly easy to clear out excess if you get too much in, Just get a paper towel or some tissue and put it on the bottom (with a small bit twisted up to go into the air hole) and blow gently from the mouth end to force excess liquid out. Then try again.

Eventually you'll get a feel for when the flavor is dropping off and it's time to drip a few more drops in.

what is "blowing out and atty" ? I've read a much helpful guide on dripping since posting (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/66848-guide-direct-dripping.html) but didn't notice that mentioned

It's just the act of forcing excess liquid out of the atomizer.
Basically you just use a paper towel to cover the bottom of the atomizer (the part that attaches to the ecig) and blow gently into the other end (where the mouth piece goes). This forces any extra juice out and clears the atomizer in case you flood it.

Inside your atomizer is a steel mesh bridge and a reservoir that hold extra juice to feed the actual atomizer (wire coil around a wick) that vaporizes the juice. Old flavor hangs out there until cleaned out or replaced by new flavor juice.

You can blow into either end with the battery off and collect the excess with a tissue. Usually you blow into the mouthpiece side and collect the excess juice from the battery air holes. This speeds the flavor change over by getting rid of excess old juice. You can also run your atty under hot water and blow the excess water out before adding new juice.

Then add 3-4 drops of new juice, wait a few seconds for it to seep in, and drip away. Redrip when the flavor gets weak and don't wait until it dries up or it will taste terrible and may fry your atty.

Types of drip tips -delrin, aluminum, glass, etc. are just a material preference against your lips and durability. It's just a mouth piece with a big hole to drop juice down.

My personal preference is delrin. For 306 attys since they wrap around, delrin works best since it gives a little.
