Dripping is for slackers really

Since missus told me to loose my messy collection of clearos some time ago, I've been dripping. Somewhat forced to at the beginning, and now I find myself wanting nothing else. Not for the flavor, but because I realize now it's the perfect setup for lazies such as me.

Yesterday I paid a visit to my local vape shop - the owner is a friend, so I often go there to say hello, without buying anything. Another customer was there, asking about this or that flavor, and I overheard him saying things like "well, I'd try it but my clearo isn't empty yet." or "will this thick juice clog up the atty?" or "you think that other brand of clearo's atomizers will last longer?"

And I thought gee, all that aggravation when you can just grab a bottle and vape. I can't count the number of times I've been lounging on the sofa, thinking "!@#! bottle of juice has run out - don't wanna get out of the sofa to get another one", rummaging around under my .... and finding some bottle I had lost two days before under the cushion - Yeah, I'll do that one...

Or, when I'm late for work in the morning (I'm always late for work in the morning), I just look at my rack, pick up 3 or 4 bottles of juices I fancy, a couple batteries, throw everything in my backpack and leave. Easy does it.

Or if I meet a friend who vapes, who raves about some juice or other, I just grab their bottle and try it. No drip tip swapping, no having to pull out a silicone condom to vape their stuff.

The only big thing I have against dripping (straight dripping that is) is, you can't vape and drive. But that's what squonkers are for. Other than that, once manipulating the bottle and getting a feel for how much to juice to drip in become automatic, there's no turning back. Dripping only has advantages: cheap, ultra-simple, reliable, no refill, no maintenance, and no missus to tell you the coffee table is a mess :)

I find Kayfun's to be the last word in lazy here. Dripping still requires dripping. The Kayfuns however, just require filling once a coil is made and wicked. I leave the cotton for around 5 days, and the coils seem to last forever for me with some dry burning maintenance once a week. I have yet to have a coil die on me. They hold 4 ml, they don't leak, they don't gurgle... I have two hour commutes, so these have been prefect to toss in my bag.

Nice post Giraut. :)

I used to drip 100% of the time. Way too easy to wrap your own coils too in an RDA. Saves $$$$.
Then, I got even lazier...and since I had an EVOD, just for that driving situation mind you, I began using it around the house and not having to carry that dripper bottle around with me.

So, although I like your premise, lazy butts like me can get even lazier/slackier and not tote the juice bottle around. Sounds kinda juvenile when you think about it...juice bottle. :p

So yeah, I miss dripping. But I don't miss toting an extra bottle around. And I can rebuild the EVOD coil too, with a little extra effort. Also, the IGO tended to leak at the air hole unless you have the cotton base just right. Grrrr. Probably a different dripping setup and I'd still be dripping. I like the IGO otherwise...dirt simple, low cost, easy build.

If you prefer dripping like I do. The ultimate dripping would have to be the reo grand. 6ml of happiness always there ready for ya. Just my 3¢ (inflation). I know I am not alone and believe that vaping can get no better. Good luck to ya and happy dripping. Squonking is very driver friendly. :)

Ah well, I have a squonker. In fact it's my main mod. I drip it when I can, I squonk it when I can't. Dual juice input - Perfect!
And then I have ordinary mods with cheap RDAs sprinkled around the place, for when I'm too lazy to go get the squonker :)

Then, I got even lazier...and since I had an EVOD, just for that driving situation mind you, I began using it around the house and not having to carry that dripper bottle around with me.

Thing is, I like to change flavors all the time. So instead of carrying a bunch of juice bottles around, I'd have to carry a bunch of Evods around. Same thing ain't it?

Not to mention, having to fill them up, screw them on, and messing around with the heads that don't last all that long with certain juices. And Evods tend to leak when they're upside down for too long.

Nah... Me, I'll carry the bottles around. It's simpler. Once you've internalized the few extra requirements of dripping, it's all much simpler and it requires no planning ahead to vape anything you want.

Clearos are one extra step from the juice bottle to your lungs that, with a little training, you can easily do without. I prefer putting up with carrying bottles around and dripping than putting up with clearos. Unless I'm stealth-vaping of course, in which case, clearos - or cartos - are almost compulsory.

I use the Aspire Nautilus myself. I haven't ventured into dripping yet, but I can fill my Nautilus up and not think about it the rest of the day. Vaping isn't really a hobby for me, yet, I just like a setup that works like it's supposed to, not something I have to constantly fiddle with or worry about. Can I SAMPLE flavors in the Aspire? Not really. But it holds 5 ml in the tank, equivalent to common juice bottle sizes. I don't have to worry about not vaping while driving. If I go to a juice bar, I don't have to worry about rinsing my own drip atty out everytime in between flavors, I can let the shop just swap atty's for me between flavors, they have the equipment, so why not?

All that being said, I'm still going to end up getting a dripper atty for my Provari at some point...for liquid sampling lol

Dripping, I've found, is making me infinitely more lazy.

Sure, there's a lot of fiddling when it comes to refilling the Octopus. But that just satisfies the need to do something with my hands, and has made me much less likely to randomly snack on things. And I guess on the surface it seems less lazy...

except now I'm evaluating every decision to get off the couch even more, because eeeehhhhhh then I have to take my bottle of juice with me and I'll have to get up again if I put my setup down and forget about it...and I have to find a pair of pants that has actual pockets in it if I'm going out of the house and do I really want to do that?

No, no I don't. :vapor:

I think the reo options sound the laziest to me. perfect options for lazy dripping or squonking for driving. I don't have a reo yet but a provari with a kf3.1 and an mvp with a simple dripper makes for some pretty sweet options. Also from reading this thread I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who makes a point of getting all their stuff together near their couch or chair to avoid getting up. Once i've settled in I'm there for a while.

I love my Igo-L's, for me they offer the perfect balance between ease and flavor, till I recently switched to an RSST Gennie with cotton wick :D no more swerving in and out of my lane on the back roads trying to get just the right amount of drops into my atomizer:p No more dry hits if I take that extra pull before dripping. I stuff enough wick into the well that I can pull some through and trim it when the wick is getting a little gummed up, keep it topped off and I only need to fill it every couple hours.

I'm using a Quasar and something else I can't remember the name of, it's got a brass airflow ring with 5 small holes on each side. Magma clone is on the way from FT. I was loving PT2's for a long while but now that the RDA bug has bit me, I don't know that I could go back. In fact I'm a little worried, if I want to up my game *again*, ... do I do? A REO would be it, I'd guess. In any event, I tried a quad-coil dragon (.35 ohm) based on another thread here and found it was just too hot for my taste. Was a monster for those ten minutes though, lol. I have tried Kayfuns but for some reason, they too are always "hot" and it turns me off from them. Probably something I'm doing wrong :(

I drip at home and at my local shop mostly. I find it extremely satisfying for curbing the urge to smoke All that warm vapor packed into my lungs make for a pleasant experience for me anyhow. I find doing it at work difficult as I'm a road tech for industrial equipment co. so My hands are mostly dirty during the day, and I just don't have time to stop, drip, toke and store it so I don't get a pocket full of juice. I use a KFL+ on an SVD for work. Dripping is the best way to test new flavors and mix flavors. I have found many new flavors you wouldn't think go well together dripping.
