Dripping is wonderful

I finally got my eGo today, debridged and dewicked the atty and try dripping. Unfortunately none of my liquids came yet so I used what they gave me which was Camel flavored 18mg. I have to say it tastes wonderful and even at 18mg I got a buzz from it. I've been smoking 24mg and 32mg cartos from V4L prior to this and it doesn't even come close. I can't wait to try the other flavors that are pending arrival. The Camel that came with it also does taste very much like an analog, I usually smoked menthol so I'm not a huge fan, but I know I've read people trying to find it. I bought the eGo from goodprophets if that helps, not sure if they sell it individually.

I do have a question though, I have 3 attys, 2 regular (only modified one), and 1 LR that I debridged/dewicked as well. The 1 that I didn't modify I tried using the carts that came with the eGo, the first try using it worked fine and tasted good, but now I'm not getting anything from it. I blew the atty out and retried and it's working fine. I am assuming the cart flooded the atty, do I need to remove the cart if I'm not using it so it doesn't flood? I didn't think to do that initially so if this is the case I'll be sure to in the future. I also had it sitting upright for a few minutes, would this have been the cause instead?

Just as a sidenote: I wouldn't use that LR atty on your eGo. The LR attys have a nasty reputation for draining the battery quickly and even ruining them.

I don't plan on using it much on this, the regular atty is working fine for me right now with the drip, I have other plans for the LR. :) I did read it does cause problems on these so I will probably be storing it until I'm ready to use it. I'll check the cart though to make sure it isn't overfilled, these were prefilled though so I'm not too sure how I'd fix it if it were.

You shouldn't need to remove a cart when not in use. As long as there is some sort of filler material still in there, it shouldn't be flooding. But yeah, maybe if you had it standing upright, the gravity was enough to pull too much fluid.

Ok, good to know, I'll be sure to not stand it upright. Thanks.

In all probability, you did flood the non-debridged atty. Not a big deal, just a normal part of getting your dripping legs under you. Tip: keep tissue handy wherever possible.

Regarding the drip tip, you'll find that in buying, say, a $2 tip, you'll get what you payed for. Spend just a little more--you only have to buy them once--and get a good one. This is the best of the best: Super T Manufacturing, Innovative manufacturer of electronic cigarette products.

I'm still getting the hang of dripping, finding how much to put in without flooding it, getting much better at it though. It doesn't take much to go from the bad atty burnt taste to flooding it, but when I get it right the vapor and flavor are wonderful. I'm a pretty patient person, so I'll eventually get it to the point where I don't have to think about it. I have seen the Super T Manufacturing stuff, I'm pretty interested in buying a Precise eventually when the holidays are over.

Thanks for all the help everyone.

It seems like when I blow it out, I have to put 3 drops in, take a few quick puffs then add another until it tastes ok. Then I just add 1 drop every 5-6 uses to keep it going. The drip tip I have currently has to be removed, I've tried a few times putting drops in through it but haven't had consistent results doing it this way. I intend to get the Super T tips (or similar) soon though having to remove the one I have isn't too much of a pain.

While your mileage may vary, this is my rule of thumb...

When your atomizer has been cleaned, or completely blown out, it will need about 4-5 drops to get going again.
And after that, it should need about 3 drops as needed to keep it rollling.

I'm not sure if this makes a difference or not, but my atty is debridged/dewicked. I've seen others (probably even you from reading) suggesting those amounts, but when I tried that it always resulted in flooding my atty.

I've been dripping for a few days now, loved it for the first 2, but now my throat is totally messed up ( LR306). It's the same thing that happened to me with LR cartomizers and it also happened to my friend at the exact same time. I've switched up the liquid so it's not that, used vg and pg. The hits are really strong with the LR dripping, but that's how I like it. It seems the big hits do some serious damage to the throat, this can't be good. Anyone have similar experience or advice? I drink plenty of water. Today I have something in my throat like sizzled dried up tissue I can feel and now can't even think about using an ecig.

Dripping on an LR 306 has officially ruined all other methods for me. Switching back to cartomizers is like a tasteless, bland, tiny little hit. I'll probably be dripping foreverrrr. :)

As far as throat problems, I've noticed that darker juices and certain flavors can become irritating after a while. Mint Chocolate Cookie was really getting to me last week. I had a "throat hit" sensation long after I stopped vaping. Lighter juices, like the Cherry Cola from MadVapes that I'm using right now, don't bother me at all, nothing but enjoyable hits.
