Issues with dripping Bobas and GJ

First off, my gear is a 306 LR drip tip on an EGO battery.

Here's the problem, I love love Bobas and Gorilla juice but it doesn't seem to drip well. It works fine for a couple days on a brand new atty (flavor and vapor production), after that it seems to gunk up and produce very little vapor and flavor at all.

I'm guessing it has something to do with being a thick 100% vg juice, but even after a heavy atty cleaning and a debridge/dewick (alcohol method and/or dry burn method) it just doesn't get better. Like less than a day until the vapor is lost again.

That being said, any recommendations on the best gear to vape these awesome juices? :)

Your correct, 100% VG juices gunk up the coil of the atomizer quicker then any other mix out there. It's a good idea to have a few atties in your rotation. Since your gonna have to clean your atty after a days worth of use with VG juices. Some atties will never be the same as they were when you first used them. It's just the sad truth about it.

What brand are you using? Some perform better then others but, if you don't clean them often. Then your gonna end up with almost the same results your having right now.

Cartos are especially prone to failure when you use a 100% VG juice in them. They gunk up the coil as well as making it harder to wick since the juice is so thick. It prevents the juice that's in the filler material to seep fast enough to supply the coil with what it needs in order for it to work.

If you want to get the most out of your carto then you have to be patient. Allow some time (few minutes in between 5 drops for example) for the juice to seep when you fill it up. Also, let it sit for a full 30 minutes before you even take a drag. It's important to let it rest in between 5-8 hits as well. This will allow for it to wick correctly. Top it off a little sooner then you would with PG juices since VG has a tendency to dry out faster in cartos.

Even when you do everything right. It doesn't mean that it will last a while. The longest I've gotten is around 4 days (YMMV). Best solution is to get an atomizer. But, as you see with the OP's question. You still have to maintain your atomizer fairly often to keep it working at an optimal level.

Never came across a problem with Bobas or Gorilla using a tank/carto combo. I slot the cartos once with a dremel. I'm going on a month on one of my tanks with Bobas using the same Boge carto. I am using this with High Voltage stuff though.

I think using HV makes the difference. When I was vaping Boba's in dual coils on an eGo, I'd get just 2-3days of vaping before the draw became to tight. I haven't reordered any Boba's latley, but with my 60/40 PG/VG DIY juice's, even dark chocolates last at least a week before I chunk em using 2ohm duals at 4.5V. And really I could get longer out of them, but figure after a week they owe me nothing.

I normally use Bauway 306s that I order alongside my "regular" BWB juices. When vaping BWB, I can clean them once a week and they work for months. From reading the replies, it's kind of a shame. Seems that atty destruction is the price of enjoying some BB :)
But seriously, I wish AVE would offer a 50/50 version or something.

gorilla juice is my fave-o-flave and i use 510 clearomizers from Totally Wicked. It works great for me! If I am chain vaping, i have to tip it upside down every once in a while to help the wicking process. After several days to a week, it gets gunked up and doesnt vape very well. Then i just soak it in 100 proof vodka overnight and it clears it right up and it vapes like a champ all over again. Been using these for about a month because i first bought them around black Friday, and have not had a single one die on me yet.

Seriously? My cartos are pretty gross after one 5.5ml tank-full of Boba's through them.

Bauway 306's are kind of the generic type of atties that I truthfully haven't heard much people raving about them. Used one once and I wasn't impressed but, if it works for you then that's great. If you really like 306's then you might wanna try Cisco, IKV, and even Joye. Which would be better in terms of performance.

I'm sure that your regular routine works in most cases. Some do have some luck with minimal cleaning and it might be ok with juices that don't have as much VG in them. Like I said before, if the coil in your atty gets gunked up. This will hinder performance by reducing the vapor, flavor, and heat generated.

I wish they had higher PG mixes in AVE. But, they are one of the vendors out there that cater to people that are allergic to PG. So, they kind of have to keep their mixes the way they are for their customers.

Wish there was the option, though. I'm pretty sure I'd prefer Boba's in 50/50.

Pretty much any 100% VG juice is brutal on my CE2 / clearomizers. I gave up trying to vape it on the DC cartos - just too thick. I do love my GJ, and so I have a rotation of "Fluxomier" CE2s and the GV "Visions" that when I set one up to clean, I crack open a fresh one and rotate between them (these are the fat wick CE2 style with the more durable plastic).

Soak in white vinegar, flush with hot distilled water, let them dry out and then dry burn. For the most part I've been getting a few weeks out of each (unless I pop the coil during a dry burn cycle). Still cheaper than frying the 501 attys.

I'm very happy with the AVE juice. I do find that the other VG flavors (clear ones) are less gunky - I suppose that Boba's and GJ are like vaping the various chocolate / caramel / coffee flavors. Those were also very tough on my 510 attys.
