Hey just started dripping and love it but all I've been using is my ego-c so I have been dripping on the actual ego C atomizer with the spike. It works well just wondering what you think the best atomizer for dripping is (for the ego). The ego-C atomizers do not leak at all and it's awesome but aiming it through the cone to the spike is a little inconvenient. Any suggestions?!
Thanks!

So do people agree that dripping is better than tanks?

Better is subjective. I love dripping when not distracted. Nothing more relaxing than putting out a spread and just vaping for a while. Tunes, flavors and maybe a beer w/shot of JD (or glass of single malt Scotch)... Tanks (I'm talking about DCT Tanks, I don't use any of the eGo tank styles) are great for when I'm on the go or semi-stealthing (can keep in my inside jacket pocket and grab a hit when ever I feel like it). With the right carto, they perform great (not as hard hitting as dripping but still great)

As to which attys, I'm partial to IKV510@1.5ohm (dewicked), IKV901@1.8ohm or Cisco306@1.8ohm. No rhyme or reason, but different juices taste different on different attys (could I use the word different any more times???). And on the DCT I'm running 1.7ohm Resurrectors.

Note: I use higher resistance everything for high voltage, and none of this stuff should be used on a batt less than 450mAh

I'm not saying that a tank is preferable to dripping, but I don't see the advantage with the Ego C. Unless you disassemble the atty and drip directly onto the coil, dripping or using a tank is the same thing. The juice has to wick down to the coil in either case and I don't see how it would wick any better from dripping than from a tank. I'm probably just confused as to how you're dripping it. Maybe you've taken the wick out.

he's probably not getting adequate wicking using the tank... especially if he's using a thicker juice.

to OP, get a LR 510 atty for direct dripping. you'd probably get even better results...

Ummm I happen to know who it was that told him about this technique. That would be me. :vapor: Though I didn't say to do it on the tank atomizer. I didn't know whether that would work.

Bobby, really just about any plain old 510 atty will probably work better for you. A lot of people prefer to drip on 306s. If you go on to Ikenvape or Avid Vapor there are some more exotic options like the HH.357, the Cannon SS, and the io6. Then you get into the bridged and bridgeless argument.

All of the above will work on an ego and all have their adherents. So, there's no flat out best. On an ego, I probably wouldn't go much below 2.0 ohms. You'll get differing opinions about that too.

To get to something better, you really need to say what you like. Some people want their vapor hotter than a car's exhaust. Some people, like me, like more flavor and prefer their tongues cooked very rare. Which are you?

If you feel you'd really prefer to switch to full time dripping, you might want to look at a bottom feeder. I know they are pricey and I wouldn't spend the money right away. There are a couple low cost options to drip without aiming around as well. They just look pretty strange. I use this one on my Buzz Pro. You won't get much heat out of it but, I'm not crazy about heat. I haven't used it but, I've seen posts that say the dripper from notcigs works.

I have only been vaping for about a month, but I too tried direct dripping on the ego-c (just left the spike on) and the flavor came through really well compared to being in the tank setup. The tank just mutes the flavor too much, IMO. I am trying out a bottom feeder myself and if you are interested in trying an inexpensive option, you may want to check out old goat on this forum. He has a really good deal right now, but you would need to buy batteries, a charger, atomizers/carts and a drip tip. You can also find a review on youtube to check it out that way too. I have one on order for next week, but just now trying to figure out which atty to get for it.

I direct drip my ego-c mainly for testing my DIY juices. Figured it'd be better to test my juices on the same atty's they're gonna be burning on normally (as opposed to using a 510 bridgeless atty say) and keep two de-spiked atty's for that purpose. Works great with 2 to max 3 drops.
I don't find the tank mutes the flavour THAT much, (but what do I know, 18 years of analogs & the ability to chew on whole, raw Scotch Bonnet peppers  may have taken there toll lol) so for my normal daily vaping the full ego-c setup fulfills my needs just fine.
So I agree & disagree....DD better for the convenience of testing and full tank setup for everything else.
