lol Quasi :D To each their own! I surely won't begrudge anyone their means of the most satisfying vape.

Dripping & 3-pieces are literally brand new to me. I've definitely learned a lot from this thread though, and I'm not above venturing into ways to make things better, ala drip-tips, etc. The bottom line for me is that I vape too much I guess. I'm thinking I'd go thru a 30ml per day if all I did was drip. No can do!

Anyhoo..Didn't mean to come off as a little dripping snot! :p

Thanks for the great info/opinions posted in here, everyone. Much appreciated. :)

To me, the difference between pulling off the (empty) cartridge, dripping on the atomizer, and replacing the cartridge versus just adding 2-3 drops into a drip tip is a huge difference.

I can't say as I've counted my drags, but the 3-5 a lot of people report seems low. I think I get more like 8-10 using a stock 3.7V 510. I'm not sure what the differing factors might be. Size of drop would have to be one. The more needle-nosed bottles (like the couple I have from TV) might deliver fewer drags than the blunt ones I generally use. And I guess how one drags would be a variable. I would categorize mine as long-ish but not usually super-long, and I take in and blow out an amount comparable to dragging on a cigarette. I've never actually seen anybody else vape in real life, but a lot of the instructional/demo videos I've seen seem to show people putting out Cheech and Chong quantities of vapor. So that might be a factor as well.

At least with the cartomizers I have tried so far, I have to suck the life out of them to get any flavor, throat hit or vapor. I really thought I would hate dripping, but it is so easy and the rewards are great. I go back and forth on the drip tip thing. I have one but sometimes the liquid pools in the tip and I get a mouthful of juice. So I just use the blank cart that comes on the atomizer. Pull it, drip and put it back.

What works for me on my eGo is to drip three drops to start with. When the vapor get's a bit of a hot taste to it (hard to describe, but it definitely tastes different from the previous puffs) then I drip two more. So far, using this technique, I haven't burnt up an atty and haven't flooded one either.

Yes, you gotta try the drip tips. They make it so much easier!

I use 5V and 510 cartos also and I tend to use them up pretty fast, so I am basically dripping with cartos, too. And with that I gotta pop the cap off, drip into the filler, try not to lose my cap, put cap back on, etc.

I've been using a drip tip on the 510 cartomizers. Makes it easy to keep them nice and wet and you don't have to drip as often as with a 510 atty.

Actually it's not a real drip tip. I took a regular 510 whistle tip cartridge and popped off the little end of the mouth piece. Then there's another little piece with a hole in the middle deeper in the cartridge that I also popped out. Then I just drip into the mouthpiece end. I decided to try this before I spend money on a real drip tip. So far so good. It does make the whole combo a little longer though.

Yeah, I've done that a couple times, but I have so many attys and cartos and drip tips floating around, it all gets mashed up together!

I got a bottle at the CVS pharmacy, of glycerin. It's in the skin care isle, near the bottom.

It really does work really good, it produces TONS of water vapor, protects the atomizer, and helps the liquid from running away.

I really recommend it. It also makes your juice last soo long.

You will not go through 30ml a day if you drip, it takes approx. 30 to 40 drops just to make one single ml.

You're doing fine, I'm learning the 3 piece also, and I do like it.

Nope. Never did quite get the dripping bit. Seems like an awful lot of bother.

I have to agree with you there. If I would ever suggest a 510 to a newbie I would suggest the 510 cartomizers... but I never would.

I tried dripping once. Quickly gave up:unsure:. IMO if analogs required all that tinkering there would be a whole lot less addicted cigarette smokers.

Well...I got the adapter for my KR cartomizers today..and I have to say, I am super impressed with the battery life of the eGo. I puffed on a VaporNine 555 cart alone for just about 2 straight hours, and the battery kept going and going. Still getting used to the manual button, but it's not so bad! Found a vendor that sells eGo auto's, gunna get one as soon as the hole I burned in my wallet heals a bit. I'll tinker here and there with dripping I'm sure..it's just the carts are too easy, last long, and filling them is like second nature to me now.

I suppose when that wallet healing happens, I'll dabble in LR atty's and mega cartridges and the like, see if dripping doesn't appeal to me more that way. Who knows, maybe I can enjoy the best of both worlds some day!
