Hey there, Happy vaping People!

I have issues trusting that the e-liquid will go where it's supposed to go when I drip in a drip tip. Does anyone else experience this?
Sometimes, I will open the top cap for a peek, and it will be nicely saturated. Sometimes, it will be saturated on one side only. Sometimes, it's like my juice is cheating on me with another atomizer, because I don't see any saturation at all.

With my Plume Veil, it's not a problem, because there's a easily removable top portion, but the top cap on my Tugboat is really tight, so it's a pain to remove sometimes,

Anyone have any tips?

If the RDA is wicked the way it needs to be you should have no problem. I use the cotton they sell in the Vape shops. I tried regular sterile cotton balls but they don't wick as good. Make sure the cotton is not too tight in the coil as it will restrict the wick, but if it is too loose the coil won't stay wet. It should just slide through the coil without excess tension.I also make sure there is just enough cotton on the end opposite the coil to spread out on the deck without packing it down. Saturate a new wick before putting the cap on and from there you shouldn't have to take the cap off again until it's time to change the wick. I hope this helps. And welcome to the forum. If this doesn't solve the issue for you just keep asking. There are plenty of people on here that know way more than me. I learn something every day. Peace and God bless.

Thanks a lot!
Well, I am using Organic Japanese Cotton and am wicking it enough to touch the base of the well. I try to drip with the device pointing straight up in order to ensure the juice is being distributed evenly... I still sometimes find half a wick saturated.

Oh well... I'll double check my wicks to try and find the problem.

Sorry I wasn't more help. I've only been building drippers for 5 months. And so far it has been single coils. I'm still learning as I go. All I can do is share from my own mistakes. I'll keep watching to see if anyone comes up with more help.I like to read when the experts tell their tips and tricks.

Usually when I use my drippers when I wick them I don't use 2 peices of cotton for dual coils. I use one piece of cotton and run it through one coil up and over the posts diagonally and then down and through the other coil. That way when you drip through a drip tip the juice goes right onto the cotton and down to both coils. There's tons of pics and tutorials of this on the internet. So give that a try.

I've got the wide bore Cherry Vape's Cloudchaser tip on my Tobh... even bored out the top so that the drip tip will drop far enough in to sit flush... I still pull the whole top off to drip though...

I'm probably a bit too picky...

I'm the same way. I wanna make sure I hit what I'm aiming for.

Either that or just put wick everywhere.

I'm in the same boat, however sometimes I see these attys stuffed with cotton and I think "Does that really work? Sign me up if so! Not for me, it doesn't"

Cotton burns too easy for me... my copper Tobh is 24g Nichrome 80 dual coil, 5/4 wrap per coil on a 2.9mm mandrel... rayon is the only thing I've tried that can keep up with the rest of the build...

+1, and I can't get the taste/smell/feel of burnt cotton out of my face for days. No bueno.

Very true.... but definitely be careful with dry hits on rayon with sub-ohms.... hurts waaaayy more than cotton ever did!
Did that this morning... fresh battery, 117 watts, dry rayon cause I stopped paying attention to my mod while driving to work... had to pull over so I could cough and re-drip... LOL

I also remove the tops because if I drip in the tip I always seem to get juice in my mouth on the first hit.

I am regularly using big drippers now though and my trust issues run a lot higher with them. They only have one drip hole and it's off-center.

I pull the top all the way off pretty often. Always finding my mistrust to be unfounded, as both wicks are always juicy.
