I have just purchase a KR808 that uses a cartomizer to use for a smoke generator on a puppet stage. So I have spent the evening playing a lot with it and here are some of my findings.
First, I was unaware of what dripping was, but did successfully find a description under a message "Noob guide to Direct Dripping". It does have directions for cartomizers.
The cartomizer has a tube down the center, which has the nicrhome wire going up the inside, and down the outside of the small tube. It is not coiled, like other atomizer's nichrome wires. Actually, I am not certain if this wire is nichrome both directions. I tis possible that the nichrome is soldered to some other metal wire one way, but it doesn't look so. (Note to new people; nichrome wire heats up when electricity goes
through it, and this is what vaporizes the
juice.)
This center tube is surrounded by the absorbent material that is soaked with the
juice. Then, outside of the absorbent material is the outer shell of the cartomizer itself. At the base of the cartomizer is the threads that screw onto the battery, and at the top is a removable cap that has the hole for the smoke to be inhaled through.
I am uncertain if the the small inner tube is absorbent or not, as I haven't taken one of these apart yet.
