So, I've had some experience with gennies and mesh, and I've been rebuilding coils for my drippers for a while now. Recently I've been making some very nice dual coil builds as well. All of my drippers use cotton yarn and I do love it but I want to try mesh now.

Last night, I played around with mesh in my dripper and I was having trouble with it wicking. The flavor was all there though and it was fantastic. I will probably be aiming for .6-.8 ohm build as that is the perfect amount of warmth for me on a mech. I'm also using good batteries no worries.

Before I dive into it and waste mesh, I was hoping some of you have experience with it and don't mind sharing some tips or advice. One of the main things is wicking, I'm assuming I would have to use a solid wick and not a puny one. I've also heard that mesh inside a mesh is great at wicking. Should I roll the wick at a 45 degree angle like a U wick, or should I just roll a normal one? These are a couple questions I'd appreciate being answered but any tips in general will help.

You certainly do want to roll it on the diagonal like a u-wick.

Just curious why you would want to go from cotton to mesh? Kinda like trading in a Bugati for a Gremlin.

ANyways, i preferred mesh wrapped around a strand of 2mm silica when I used to do this.

CHeers!

Nah, I use both and some juices just taste better on either. Lately I've preferred both cotton and mesh over silica/Ekowool. :)

I have a dripper set up with mesh now, and it's been performing really great. I cut some mesh diagonally and just made a regular u-wick basically. Not an especially tight roll. Wicks just great. 0.8 ohms.

Sounds good, I usually vape a 50/50 juice. I'll try that and see how it works.

I vape mostly fruit flavors and I like how the mesh makes some of them come out. I'm not considering making a switch or anything, I'd just like an atomizer or two with mesh.

I might have to try that, I have some ekowool I've been meaning to mess with too.

Sorry to be off the current topic, but I need some advice. I have a RH Term C V2 and want the short mouthpiece but not enough to pay $23 + shipping for it. If I buy a cheapy Tobeco that comes with the short mouthpiece is this mouthpiece a good fit or will it likely leaK like crazy? I was thinking the extra o-rings and the 2nd tank would be cool to have from the Tobeco for my RH too. The Tobeco is only $23 shipped, so the same as the RH short mouthpiece BY itself.

Ive tried and succeeded in mesh, silica, ecowool silica, xc-116, but i fell in love with the microcoil/cotton. Very cheap and easy to feed a small amout of cotton ball into the microcoil. If you want to replace your wick, just tug it out and throw a new one in. If you wrap a good microcoil it is super easy and takes about 45seconds to rewick and one min to saturate. Jist remember not to put too much cotton in. A loose fluff around the inside diameter does the trick best

You likely won't need to do a core if you are vaping 50/50.

The juice I make is 80-90% vg, so it isn't very mesh friendly. The core just helps it wick the syrup that I call juice.

Hah, yeah I pretty much only use 50/50 mixes so i'll probably just use a hollow wick then.

Odd how taste buds differ. My fruit flavors I prefer cotton, but mesh makes my bakery flavors pop.

Yeah it is, it makes my orange e liquid really "pop" and a few others. I still do love cotton though.

I use mesh in my dripper, make a rope out of a few strands of mesh. Works awesome. Hate silica dude lol.

You weaved mesh to make a rope, what? I need to see a picture of that.

I've made a bunch of micro coils, thanks for the input though.
