I have a few questions about using the mesh. Is it required to burn it and go through that whole process? Can I use a wick instead of a mesh? What about wrapping a mesh around some wick? Also, where is a good place to buy the mesh from? I've seen some prerolled mesh but I don't know if they already have the burning done. Thanks.

Hi!

The burning is called oxidization, and it is required unless you want to run an unoxidized wick, which I haven't done, so I cannot give you advice on that. You can use a silica wick rather than a mesh wick, depending on the atomizer you're using. Could you provide a bit more info? I buy my mesh and resistance wire from Steam Monkey, because the prices are great, but many places have them.

I've got an AGA-t coming. Hopefully my small torch lighter would be enough for it.

Should be enough; will just take longer because the flame is more concentrated and fine. The AGA-T can handle a silica wick so if you'd prefer not to use mesh, then you're all set. :)

Does one work better than the other? Silica wick vs mesh?

There are health-concerns with both of them, but I don't think the concerns have been proven valid yet. Personally, I prefer mesh over silica. It lasts far longer and there are a lot more options as far as different mesh-types go. Also, I find the taste of juices boiled through mesh to taste purer than with silica.

Thanks. I ordered some coil and mesh from steam monkey and some prerolled ones from litecigusa

Awesome! I wish you much success, and of course, don't be afraid to ask questions if you have any. I may not have all the answers, but someone else does! :D
