Dripping is not into a carto. Dripping is into an atomizer on a manual battery ecig (not recommended for auto batteries

If you want to drip into a carto you can buy a drip-o-mizer but they are $4 apiece and I heard people get shocks on them because they come with metal drip tip

I do use plastic or delrin a drip tip on a carto but only as a comfortable and easy-to-remove mouthpiece. My cartos have a defined central air channel (Boge, V4L) so I don't attempt to drip into them through a drip tip. When I add juice to a carto I remove it from the battery, pull the drip tip, tilt it, and drip a bit of juice into the stuffing (if adding a lot, I hold a bit of tissue against the thread end hole). Then I clean it up if necessary, puff into the threaded end to clear any juice from the air channel, sop up any loose juice on the top of the stuffing.

Do you mean you removed the stuffing from a carto to use it as an atomizer? I've never done that but I imagine a Jumbo might have more blank space between the wicks? No idea, never done it. I use an atomizer to drip. I use DSE901 on manual KR808D-1 (Vapor4Life) and Joye 306 on manual 510 for dripping.

While we’re on this subject.. Where exactly do you drip? Do you drip on the rounded top part of the atty (guessing this is called a bridge) or do you drip around the sides aiming for the wick? And for that matter, are there any tips that others can give to avoid excessive leaking? I remember when I first got my eGo, I put a few (3) drops in the atty to help it get started and remember it just basically leaking all of it out onto the post of my battery. I would like to start dripping, but if it is always this messy, I will just get a regular Joye 510 to use a spare atty on and drip with that as I don’t much care for getting my “nice” PVs sticky.

If you get a Joye 510 to drip GET MANUAL. The 510 manuals are totally sealed on the threaded end so hard to kill or damage with leaks. Those mega xl 510 manuals are very nice and last longer.

I use the drip tip so it just aims for the atty bridge. I am using a Joye 306 atty. I do 3 drops to start if the atty is pretty empty but not dry. Then I let it soak down to the coil for a few minutes. Then I vape. If an atty is fresh clean and dry, it may need more drops and much more waiting! While vaping, if the vapor get light and before it taste burnt, I add another 2 drops. Everyone does it different.

Do not drip and drive. Get cartos for when dripping is dangerous.

+1 on the 306 atty with a drip tip. The bridge is wide and has a substantive wick in the middle of the bridge that feeds the bowl. Drip three drops and puff away for about the length of time a short cigarette lasts.

These things are great for trying out different juices. I don't even wash the atty in between, although a 306 washes and dries faster than any other atty I've used. You can wash it in hot water, blow it out, screw it on to the batt, and get an orange glow in no time. I'm happy with the standard 306 atty.
