I have the riva and the echo as my main 2 pv's. I still have the original riva atty that came with it and i drip into it quite often when sitting at the computer. I also got a lr atty from i dont know where and i use that from time to time as well.
Obviously the flavor and flavor is superior to any carto or cart. (ive tried boges and d/c cartos along with the echo carto).
I like dripping when im not on the run but i kinda dislike the gurgle sound i get from the atty even after vaping it completely dry and adding 2 drops into it. Is this normal? are there other "better" attys i should try (510 connection) that will make this experience even better? I hear good things about the ikenvape attys and would like to get comments or advice on which kind i should get. The juices i normally use are 80/20 pg/vg. Thanks in advance.

Ya blow it out. If you have to, be careful and drip one drop at a time. Its a pain but if you get it down you can always have good flavor without the gurgle and huge clouds every time. My sugestion would be To find an Atty with a Bigger bowl.
I know exactly what you mean I do it all the time.

You know there's too much juice when you hit it and its harsh with little vapor.....then as your suffering through that you look to see it dripping everywhere you wipe it all up clean the battery connector and the Atty now feels thirsty and gurgly.....blow it out. Start over. That's the best way

I don't use regular or lr atty's any longer to drip. I use a 306 and honestly I've the best luck with NHaler's for longevity. They have a variety of them from generic 1.7 to custom one's in different ohm's. Just a matter of choice. Right now I'm trying out the 3.4's and I have to say it's pretty darn good after the initial break in. I also pulled the wick out, which allows me to change flavors more often quicker, but then I do that with anything I drip with. But your issue is pretty common with atty's across the board and as suggested above, blow them out occasionally, sometimes just a light blow into the atty does the trick versus a full out blow everything out of it. My juices are the opposite of yours due to issues with PG. Good luck
