I didn't have alot of luck with the standard 510 dripping atty I tried at first. Either dry hits or flooding. I never did get the hang of it. Then I picked up and octopus rebuildable dripping atty and now I just flat LOVE dripping. I really don't know what the big difference in the 2 is functionally (obviously I do in how it is built) but for me it was the difference between utter frustration and nirvana.

I'm just super frustrated I spent 6 bucks on an atty that I can't use.

For me dripping works best on IGO-L - bully was ok - IGO-W still sitting in the box - well all clones though.....but is sure is PITA to make sure it has e juice before i vape - since I use cotton wicks - am pretty sure it will be a nastier vape if dry than an analog......

Here is what I do, I rotate the air-hole to 6'oclock, you know, facing down. Then I take a few un-powered draws, and if I hear gurgling, I'm still good for drops.

I just started dripping about a week and a half ago. Got an IGO-W. Took me SEVERAL days to figure it out. I ended up getting the smallest machine screw I could find at ACE hardware, to wrap my coils on. THAT'S the way to go. I drilled out one of the airholes on the cap to 1/16 inch. I attach my coils so that they are close to the outer lip of the well - so that the air from the cap hole directly hits it if it's lined up correctly. Now, I wrap a ~1 ohm coil every time, and position it in the same spot (30g kanthal, 4 wraps). Works ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. FLAVOR! CLOUDS! NIRVANA!!!

Keep at it, and take my advice if you want. I'm actually just passing on the same advice that I got from several vapers on this forum. I had submitted a post about my own frustration when i first tried my RDA. All these things above are what different people told me to do. I love this place.

Edit: I somehow missed that you got a 510 Atty. I'm now assuming it's one of the small, old school 510 attys, not an RDA. Sorry if none of what I said applies to your situation. If you ARE talking about an RDA, I hope what I said helps you.

Yes it is a true wide bridge 510 atty. No it's not a carto. I have those. I'll try some of the other stuff. Thanks.
Ocelot's blog will be a huge help. One thing she didn't mention about when to re-drip is that you can also tell by taste. At first it'll get a little diminished, then metallic and finally puke worthy dry hit.
