I thought i had a grasp on this stuff the other day.. I was wrong rofl.

I'm reading so many different types of vaping it's confusing the heck out of me.

I have a generic Ecig it has a cartomizer that I'm told not to refil though I'm also told I can..

I get that.

Atomizers I sort of get, you can have a cart with some sort of filler material that you put liquid on and stick it on an atomizer...

but you can also drip? usea tank? have a 'feeder'

I ordered 2 riva 510 batteries, a single LR atomizer, a couple liquids, a single "drip tip" and a 5pack of dual coil 1.5ohm cartos.

WIth the cartos I assume they come empty and I"ll have to fill em up with juice. I'm assuming I just drip some juice into it.

With the atomizer and drip tip I'm not really sure how to 'use' it.

I'm also curious about the other styles like whatever a tank is. Sounds like it'd leak based on what I've heard about hwo it works. Could some one explain tanks and drip tips?

Nice choice with the Riva and LR dual coil cartos. That's easy peasy!
1. Charge your battery
2. While it's charging, fill a carto with your fav juice. Leave the condom on the connector end, drip 3 or 4 drops against the wall of the carto (avoid the middle) give it a themometer shake and repeat. The DC cartos are big. They'll take quite a few drops - probably 40 or so. You can tell after each shake if your carto is full by looking inside at the filler.
3. Put on your drip tip, remove the condom from the bottom of your carto, screw it on your charged batt and vape happy :)

Before you start dripping you may want to watch some YT videos about it. As a noob I popped atomizers like popcorn. That was expensive. :(

Congrats on your new equipment and joining the vaping world. :)

Drip tips and dripping are easy to use, but takes a little practice to get right. With regular 510 atties, you just put 3-4 drops down the drip tip and let it sit for a few seconds to get it going. Vape until vapor production drops off and the flavor starts going flat, then add 2-3 more drops. Continue adding 2-3 more drops until you're finished or you want to change flavors. I usually just vape through the previous flavor and then change flavors or blow out the atty.

I like the Liquinator dual coil tanks. They're easy to use, hold about 3mls of juice and mine haven't leaked at all. Having the carto inside the tank also keeps it cool and wet and I think it'll make them last longer.

WOH, have you noticed any flavor decrease in using the Liquinator? I have a MAP tank I threw in storage b/c it really decr'd the flavor a lot. Please and thank you.

There are different kinds of tanks

There are Ego-T type of tanks that use an Ego-T atty that has a spike and it uses Ego-T tanks (and only the larger size the larger tank atty can use holds more than a standard carto). Some people complain of lack of flavor or leaking with Ego-T tanks.

Then there are crafted fat tanks that use CE2 carto guts inside - those tanks are cartomizers, no atty needed.

Then there is something called a liquinator that drips juice into a carto?

And there are juicebox/bottomfeeder mods that have a bottle of juice in them

I recommend you start with plain cartos first and the most popular are Boge. I think Boge cartos are more popular than any of those other things.

Dripping - if you have manual batteries you can use a drip tip on the atomizer (or make one out of an empty cart if you use an off-brand of ecig) and drip juice on the atomizer and vape it

well I think I'm going to be short some hardware. I think I need a cart to connect a drip tip to, unless it plugs right into the atty. I think I'm gonna start with filling carts and playing with dripping before I move to tank stuff. I'm going to make my own vaporizer soon just to fiddle around. I'll start figuring out more about the physics from that. I'm hoping the smoke relief I have ends up being a 510 style so I can cannibalize it.

spiffy, wish it was here! I'm getting bored with these generic carts on the little ecig I got to start this whole thing off.

I'm learning as much as I can. I don't want to just use these things i'd love to get into making some high quality devices and mix my own juices with high quality ingredients for personal use and maybe even small scale sales. I've got a nice little workshop set up that is equiped for making these things already from previous projects so I'm really excited about starting to tinker.
