Any way to tell which atomizers don't have spikes? I ordered what I thought were spikeless models only to find spikes in em. I did remove the spike/wick but they gurgle on 2-3 drops now. 4 or more and it's leak city. Also, which 510 atty is best for an ego 1000mah passthrough? I'm thinking the low res models are bad for this battery (bbq them too fast). I don't mind to fiddle, but I'd like to get the correct stuff straight away. Dripping has a much better taste then the cartos I will say. Don't think it will be my main rig, but for those times I really want to enjoy the flavor, it seems ideal.

As far as I know, all the 510-T (for tank) models have spikes, but I could be wrong. I only like them as a bridgeless atty after breaking off the spike.

Any "normal" version should have the bridge and wick - these are typically referred to just as "510 atomizer" with no T. Sometimes you'll see an LR prefix on the name for Low Resistance, but without a T at the end, these have no spike either.

All else being equal, lower resistance translates to more current/power which translates to more vapor, heat and TH. Flavor isn't exactly straight forward however. Some flavors are be better on account of the denser vapor, but many flavors are muted or else somewhat modified due to the higher heat level.

If you haven't tried them yet, you may also want to look at a 306 atomizer. I really enjoy these for dripping. There are plenty more choices too but the 306 is pretty darn good. One note on those with an eGo however is that you may not be able to use your cone without a special elongated drip tip.

Be wary about going too low resistance on an eGo. Below 2 ohms you may be reducing the lifespan of your battery. Put something like a 1.5ohm dual coil carto on it (risky IMHO) and it may not even work at all.

If money is not a big concern, there are some nice options at AvidVaper:

Cisco LR306 Atomizer + Drip Tip Special - Avid Vaper (2.0 ohm w/XL drip tip)

They also have other high-end 510's at a variety of ohms and styles (i.e. bridgeless - no spike, nor bridge), and their specialty "HH.357" (special order part and more than I'd ever pay for a single atomizer, but hey - some swear by them).

You may want to try adding some stainless steel?

Thanks Wolcen, I'll give that a go and see what happens. "T" = Tank = Spike for Tank. I'll order non "T" models from now on. Although, after removing the spike/wick it looks to be the same under it all. Looking forward to trying the "Bonut" mod with the screens soon.

If you would have told me a month ago I would be having a blast while quitting smoking, I'd have called the padded wagon on you.
