I would also like more info about adding hot springs and/or some type of fuse - I do altoids mods not tube mods, so I have extra room if I go unregulated - so thanks for starting this thread Beaverkt. There is not a whole lot of actual info about how to add these things to mods or which ones to use. Does anybody have a link to a suitable hotspring and/or fuse?

Adding a PTC resettable fuse / aka polyswitch to a mod when building would be ideal. You can get them pretty small as they come in SMD packages.Here is a link to one sold @ digikey that has a 2.6 amp hold current and 5 amp trip current. Once tripped it just needs to cool down for a little bit and it resets itself Digi-Key - MINISMDC260FCT-ND (Manufacturer - MINISMDC260F-2)

They come it a few different styles
