As I understand and have saw something on a forum or youtube this happens and all you need to take it apart and that will unstick the button then you can put it back together.

Personally I don't have a EGO so I can't describe how to do it

As far as I can tell there's no way to take them apart without breaking them.

Awesome durability - it hit a linoleum floor from maybe 3 feet and is completely broken because of a stupid spring or something.

Well 13_16, I think you just got unlucky. It must have landed just perfect for the button to be pushed in. If it had been turned a little bit in either direction, it would have been fine. I can say from experience that a 3 foot drop isn't usually a problem.

This the not the best place to post this kind of question. Try the "battery issues" forum.

Not to seem uncaring but I doubt you will garner much sympathy on a Volt Forum over a damaged Ego (no pun intended). My advice would be to buy an X2 as they are tough as nails and if you drop them they still work fine 99.999% of the time. I drop the one I use for a passthrough almost every night because I keep it beside the bed and sometimes fall asleep with it in my hand. Sometimes I wake up laying on it too but it has never failed me in over 3 months.

I've accidentally knocked the top off of an ego I still use several times while having it in my pocket at work. It seems that the switch end is just crimped into the battery end. It's kind of loose now, but still works. I would say though, that trying to pull it apart could very easily result in yanking the connections loose. I just kind of chalk it up to ecigs being ecigs lol. Some are duds, some aren't.

no although similar...

The brand ego is made by joytech ...there are also ego clones...which are the same as egos for the most part not made by joytech.

The X2 is similar in size to an ego but these differences are:

X2 runs from 4.2-3.6 volts....and ego runs about 3.3volts.

X2 has a conistant regulated voltage...meaning it does not start with high power then end with very low... it stays consistent.

Also all the connections are for 808d-1 ...where egos are 510.

Isn't the X2 just an ego passthrough?

I'm not understanding the difference here.
