Do you have pics of the coil that broke in half?
It's a hair tie with rubberized stuff on the inside so it doesn't slip. It's not exerting enough on the up button to change it, I made good and sure of that! Thanks for checking though! That is fine workmanship on the repair, just be sure that boot/shoe lace? doesn't exert enough pressure on the power up button to raise the wattage unexpectedly/automagically.
Congrats on your 2 years too! Everybody has been there, and if you're only vaping, and no analogs, you're doing great!Just over two years vaping for me. Congrats on getting on to five years, that's awesome!
Also, I had to completely trash the outer ring of the coil to remove it from the upper part of my tank. I was able to just unscrew the bottom part and chunk it though. No I don't because I threw it away. I was so dumbfounded when it happened, that I just chunked it in the trash. It was a coil I got from the Wish app, so it's possible that it wasn't an actual Smok coil.

This is why we have back-ups, then back-ups for our back-ups, then back up replacement glass, then back-up tanks, then back-up glass for our backup glass. .. then of course back-up batteries, back-up coils for our backup coils..
Once that's done, you'll never break anything again! Hahaha

ThanksHappens to all of us sooner or later. I have yet to break a mod but I did break a tank once. You know why it broke right? It is because your mod was racing red. That adds 20 mph to the fall you know lol.
Yeah, I'm going to keep it for a backup mod. So now I'll have 2 of them. I'll try not to drop this new one! I'm hoping my coils come in today too. It's always nice to have a reason to buy something. But if that mod, ignoring the cosmetic defects, still works I'd throw it in the back of a drawer in case I ever needed one for backup.
Ponytail holders should be in every redneck's toolbox, right next to the WD40 and duct tape. Here's the damage and my Jerry-rigging of my mod. I can still use it, but it freaks me out! So I broke myself this week and ordered a new one, in holographic rainbow no less! If they'd have had purple, it would've been another story. I'll post the pic of my pretty new one when I get it after this weekend. In the meantime, here's my mess up.View attachment 704483 View attachment 704485
