...100% NO SHORTS EVER AGAIN & NO MORE BURNING SENSATION.

Get the washers @ the faucet repair section of your local hardware store. (Looks like paper, its not-- nor is it conductive)
I attached the washer to the spring via Brush-On electrical tape.
Too bad all the ICONS/V3s aren't shipped like this...

ALOHA!

...& no, I'm not a doctor.

Very good!

Or dip your spring in the liquid plastic stuff they sell to re-handle hand tools.

Never had a short. Is this common. I have the V-3.

Mike

I think it was more of a problem with the soft springs PS were using... I just tried to come up with a solution with a minimum of fabrication/modification to completely eliminate even a remote chance of shorting regardless of what spring you use.

By the way here's the washers I use.

Just a quick update--
Washer is definitely affixed to the spring on both my V3 & ICON... even after a week of heavy use.
The washer takes very little space, but does slightly add to the compression-- even on the softer springs.
I'm currently running with 2 flat washers & 1 lock washer under my contact post, which gives me a throw
of about 1/16" (which I like). Spring feels firm & my devices won't fire standing upright.

So far-- 100% NO HOT TUBES!!!
