I am experiencing problems with rebuilding my RBA. With the TFV4, with the Zephyrus V2, with the uwell Crown, all of which I experience the same problems.
Example on the Zephyrus V2, as shown in the picture, I use Kanthal 26gauge, 8 wraps, 2.5mm diameter, dual coils, 0.5 resistance . Everytime I vape for less than 2hours on it, the coils will start to burn, and soon after even the cotton starts to burn and I start to get dry hits.
I'm really confused it feels like I'm doing everything right as I see everyone else does it. There are no/little leaking issues.
Does the problem lie with the wicking? What am I doing wrong?

Are you using very restricted airflow?
Nope. In fact I removed the ring that controls the air flow for the Zephyrus V2.

A few important details you left out namely what watts are you doing and what juice. Base on the picture alone, I'd assume it's glowing perfectly due to the charring of coil.
Unless the picture above is of a relatively new wick I don't see much burning at all and they look more like gunking coil.
I'm vaping this it at 30Watts, using Vape Bro Blackcurrent&Strawberry. It's glowing perfectly and this whole setup has only been used for an hour before i took the picture. The juice is starting to gunk up the coils within one hour?! It still doesn't explain the burnt taste and dry hits I'm having thou..... Is it from the coils or from the wick? I'M SO VEXED!!!! Rebuilding has gotten me crazy. In the past day I rebuilt this like 10times I'm not even kidding.

Going by that I would believe the coil is gunking but looking at the cotton it seems ok. Try around 40watts for 177 heat flux your current 133 might be a little low to fully vaporise liquid hence accelerating the gunking.
But bf I go above 35 Watts I start to cough with that setup cause really is too much vapor already... 35 Really max already the clouds really like free one maybe cause dual coils. And can you explain to me more on this "heat flux" you talk about? I've never heard about it before.

Have you tried using lesser cotton?
Yeah man, I suspected it was too much cotton at first too so I trimmed my cotton. Trim until it start to leak.

@WarA By steam engine, you mean Steam Engine main page ? I've never went there till I googled "steam engine" after reading your comment. Looks like a really helpful website, I'll start to learn how to use that. Playing around with my builds currently till to no avail.
One more thing I realised is with the TFV4 mini RBA with clapton coils, as soon as I fire there would be what seems to be "mini explosions" happening inside the tank. Is it just the nature of the TFV4 mini? Or is it the clapton coils? I tried vaping it at 20 Watts to 60 Watts, all also have this popping sensation. Also the vapor is much harsher than on my other tanks. What is your view on this? Is it normal?
