Well I'm in some kind of building burn out.. I'm constantly getting dry hits and I can't figure out why. I have tried different types of cotton and different wicking methods with no success.. Im using a cyclone with the acc dual 28g coils(have also tried single) about .6Ω for dual and about 1.2Ω for single with an inner diameter of 1.5. If you were using this setup how would you wick the coils? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

My Cyclone with AFC is dual coiled with the same ID at around 0.6 ohms. Wicked with RxW2. Have also done it with a 2.5mm ID and RxW3 at the same resistance more or less. With the smaller ID you just have to squonk more frequently.
I agree, a 1.5mm coil is a bit on the small side. Whatever you wick with, it isn't going to hold much juice. If you take long drags, you might be vaping the wick dry, before finishing the drag. At any rate, you'd have to squonk often; maybe every hit. I'd try a little bigger coil; maybe 2mm.
What I think might be happening is your coil it's getting so hot it's burning the cotton even when juice is on it. After you get a dry hit. Give it a second and hit it again but just a quick one. If that's not dry then your coils are getting too hot. They way iv fixed this issue is using more cotton. Even if it seems like enough cotton, pull it out. Re wick it with more cotton then it was originally. My theory is more cotton equals more juice which will help keep your coils cooler on those long hits.

In my experience, persistent dry hits means too much wicking, especially with cotton. The coil(s) get choked for juice.
1.5mm is pretty small for a coil ID, but I have run dual setups with net resistance even lower than .6ohms at that diameter with no wicking problems. That said, 2mm ID will give you some more wiggle room with the cotton.

That makes sense @Papa_Lazarou, my wick can usually pull through the coil with little resistance. I'll try a lighter wick when I get home. For now I'm leaving my house with a nemesis and subtank..................

I'd agree with too much cotton, and if it can fit, do try 2mm at some point...beyond helping with the dry hits you may find you line the vape off 2mm better (I do, many others do, and many others dont)

Could also be the coil is too far away from the air hole.. but prob too much wick.
I believe I use 2.5mm rod on the Coilmaster on the cyclone. Where I'm usually at anyways on most builds on any atty.

If you can pull the wet wick out without also tugging and moving the coil.. you got too much wick!
Thanks every one!! I knew this had to user error.. Definitely too much cotton. I should have asked earlier but i should also know how to do this..
My guess is that it isn't the type of wicking material. Have you tried to hand drip it? If trying that works then you probably have a clogged feedhole or just too much wick as others have suggested.
I had a dry hit spell recently. Turns out that the oring at the top of the bottle had slipped out of place. Squonk I did, without enough juice making it to my atty.
I typically go with a 2-2.5mm ID. Been playing with more 2mm to get a better and hotter heat flux. From steam engine I'm still in the green at around 99mW.
