Hi guys, I need some help. I've just decided to twist 2 28g wires and coiled it 4 times. so i've got 0.3-0.5 ohm reading. I vape at 30w which is 3V but i got a nasty dry hit... Can someone give me some insight of what the issue may be?
Need more specific info. What juice delivery device are you using? What wick material are you using?
You may be using too much wick material. Usually less is better than more, especially with cotton. Rayon you can actually use more. Too much cotton can "strangulate" the wick inside the coil so that it is difficult for the liquid to move into. No liquid on wick = dry hit.
That's a hot coil you have there at 30watts is a range of 266-444 heatflux..... Tow low for that small of wire. I suggest less watts(volts), and/or higher resistance. A wrap or two would reduce the heat significantly, even if pushed to 30watts.. You could also try a larger coil ID. Thicker wire or even a 3rd strand.
