Hmm. Okay, ive tried vaping with different mixed of pg & vg. Ive tried different nic content. 18 didnt seem much different from 24 (I really need about 24 ATM anyway). 100% PG not much different from 70 PG/30 VG.

Everything seems to pretty much give me the same stratchy dry throat which I imagine is the humectants - pg & vg (the nic must contribute). perhaps the flavours contribute -I do favor tobaccos.

I mean, I am happy that my lungs arent bugged. Better than smoking in most regards. And its nothing that not over vaping and drinking water wont deal with. But I still cough a bit while vaping, and it would be a better experience if i didnt.

Any other suggestions, other than drink lots of water? (thats a given really)

Thanks!

Agreed with upping the VG. For those times that water just really isn't helping as much as I'd like and I'm vaping a lot, a good minty gum seems to do the trick for me. Right now I'm using Orbit's Wintermint but I'm not tied to it. It just seems to help keep my mouth a little wetter. Of course, it may always just be me as well. :p

I find the darker juices taste harsher than the clear ones.

I have found that pounding water all day from when I rise to when I go down helps quite a bit. Never underestimate water and the power to better health that it provides. Most think a couple of glasses is alot. Its not. General rule of thumb is if your urine has color you are not getting enough. Coffee, sodas, beer, etc. does not count. This makes me thirsty.

100% PG is definitely your problem. Even 70% PG is still EXTREMELY harsh, and I refuse to vape anything above 30% PG and even that's a lot for me. I started with 100% when I started vaping and finding VG was extremely helpful. Note, I don't have a PG allergy or anything but the dry, harsh, moisture-suckingness of PG just makes vaping completely unenjoyable for me in too high a ratio.

My favorite ratio is 70/30 pg/VG and don't have an issue with dry throat now that I have lowered my nic to 12 and 15mg. When I first started vaping at 18 and 24mg (which I needed at the time) I would get more dry throat even with higher VG. I noticed also I would need more water at the higher nic levels than I do now. It really depends on a persons own body chemistry. I wish PG worked on this running nose I've acquired from visiting with my grandkids over the holidays. :D. No amount of exhaling through the nose is drying that puppy out ;)

I also have some issues with PG. The first juice that I vaped a lot of was Boba's Bounty - 100% VG. The next juice I vaped a lot of was a DIY - 60/40 VG/PG. After the first day on the DIY juice, I noticed my lips felt sunburned and my throat was dry. The next day a little worse. The next day, though, I woke up and my lips were swollen and painful. My lips were so raw that eating or drinking was painful -especially drinking hot coffee. The dry mouth was unreal.

The next day I vaped a another 100% VG juice I had bought a while back and didn't vape any PG all day. By noon that day, my symptoms were gone. I don't know if I have a PG allergy or just an intolerance or whatever . . but I guess I can't vape PG. I read in another post somewhere that only 3% of people are allergic to PG but, just based on posts I've read, the number seems to be a lot higher.

Give all VG a shot - it might be your problem.
