dse 401 trouble

just bought a DSE 401 and received it yesterday. This morning it already quit making smoke. I was really disappointed with how hard I had to draw on it to get the led to light up. So hard, in fact, that I kept sucking in liquid. So I tried putting tape over one of the two holes. Same results. So I covered about 1/2 of the remaining hole with tape. A slight improvement, but still difficult. Covering the remaining hole 3/4 with tape made it more like a real cig, and finally some vape. But this morning when I went to use it, it didn't make any smoke. I guess the atomizer only lasted a day? With shipping costs, a new atomizer is $16. I don't see how this is cheaper than real tobacco like so many other people say. So far, it seems like the DSE 401 from New Life Health, purchased through Esmokershop.com is a piece of junk. The vendor offered to exchange it for a DSE 901. Is this a good idea?

Attys go bad, not much you could do about that or them either. It would seem that there have been QC issues in the past and sometimes we get a dud. You do have a money back guarantee, so contact the supplier and ask for another atty in exchange for the bad. They are a sponsor here so it should be OK. If you want the 401 I would keep it, you probably did research before hand so go with what you want. I have had three bad attys already and another that works just OK. They have been replaced so I am still happy. I think you will be too when you get a working one, but it is up to you as to which way to go.

I'm thinking maybe you just got a bum atomizer or batt. My husband and I have both been using the M401 for a few months now and we both love it. We are still using the same atomizers we started with and just cleaning them up from time to time. The batteries have had a long life and we only have to change batts once a day. We've both been extremely pleased with how easy it was to get started using the M401.

I will say this however:

When we first got our kits we ordered prefilled carts as most ppl do and then some extra juice for when we felt more brave. The prefilled carts did NOT vape well at all - plus they tasted horrible. Once we started filling our own carts they started vaping extremely well and we were much more pleased with the whole experience.

If you truely like the M401 I'd say to stick with it and just get a new atomizer for it. Chances are it's just one of those things that happens with vaping products and I hope you don't let it get you too discouraged.

After trying it some more, I truly believe that I got a bad atomizer and two bad batteries. The pneumatic switches are too hard to get engaged. The only way to get them to engage with a "normal" draw is to tape off one hole completely and the other one about 3/4. But by the time you do this there just isn't enough air coming in to vape very well. It does seem strange that both batteries are wacked, but I seem to have a knack for getting one lemon out of a thousand products. Whether it is cell phones, cars or tech devices, I'm just lucky I guess. Anyway, Brandon at esmokershop is a good guy and is going to swap it out for a 901.
