DSE 901's ... question about durability

These are my favorite attys for a couple months... lately I've been averaging about a week (only) before they poop off.
They are light, give nice flavor/vapor production, and the Pyrex D/T fits them fine.

I use 2 at a time (between 2 Provari's): 10ml juice/day 50/50, 18mg....
Regular; 2.8 Ohms, 3.7 to 4.5 volts.

I wonder is others find they don't last as long as say the reg. 510's ... or what.

I used one for almost 6 weeks at 4.8-5v on my provari with no issues at all. Still works too, just havent used it lately

I found quite the opposite...
I recently switched back to 510's and they are dying on me quicker...

I had a few that lasted for months... of daily use.
I bought the cheap SLBs from Value Vapor...

I've been using 901 attys for 2 years. I've had several that I thought had died that I kept in a baggie in my vaping supply cabinet. Last month I took them all out, I think there were about 8 of them-yeah, only 8 in 2 years- and tried to resurrect them. I blew them all out, used the baking soda and vinegar cleaning method, rinsed, blew out thoroughly and did a dry burn on all of them. All but ONE came back to life! How about them apples? I've noticed one odd thing about them though, they are picky about which 901 battery I pair them with. Even with the connections all eased up and clean, this atty will work with this batt but not with this other one, but not to worry because this other atty works on that batt just fine. Strange, but I love 'em!

I've found the life span of the 901 is very unpredictable. For my day time vaping I use a single 901 and use it daily until it dies. Some have lasted me months while others have lasted a week or less. Back in January I had a set of 3 last me one day each while the next 6 attys gave me roughly a week each. My last atty lasted 71 days while my current one is still going strong after two weeks. I also found that price and place of purchase has no bearing on longevity. I've had $9.99 atty die in a day and a $4.99 last months and vice versa.

In the evening hours I use a 510 and have found they have a better life span although they are juice hogs. I typically average 7 to 8 months of life with a 510. With the 510, as its performance starts to fade I jump the voltage up to 5v to extend its useful life. Otherwise I vape both the 901 and 510 at 3.7v.

You might it invest in a cheap ohm meter. That is one sure way to test if an atty is truely dead
